Spring is here and that can only mean one thing. It’s Circuit Season! The Prephoops Circuit is upon us. I will be covering and providing exposure for the Hustle Region Circuit. The Hustle Region Circuit consists of AAU Programs from California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and New Mexico. The circuit features 10 stops including the Hustle Region Final in Irvine July 15th – 17th. Stop number 5 sends us to Irvine California, for the Hustle In The Sun, where we will have everyone playing under one roof inside the Momentous Sports Arena. We were fortunate to have several players who put the "Hustle" Into Hustle In The Sun. Here’s a look at the High Energy Glue Guys from the event.

Malachi Wilt 6’1 PF Nevada Hard 2 Guard 2026 - Active "Good at every type player". Wiltz was a willing perimeter defender and battled on the inside. What was remarkable when watching him, was the sheer number of loose balls he was able to retrieve. Wilt seemed to come up with every 50/50 ball and saved a ton of possessions for H2G in the game I saw.

Adrian Castro 6’0 SF Houston Ball Kings 2024 - No amount of glue could fix the damage Castro did to the scorer’s table. Giving maximum effort going after a 50/50 ball, the 2024 forward sprinted to the sideline and ran smack into the on-court side scorer’s table, destroying the table in the process. Luckily the hard-charging forward was ok, and that play highlighted the effort and energy he competed with.

Jaden Cauthen 6’0 SF Houston Ball Kings 2024 - Cauthen gave similar effort to Castro, however it was his ability to do a little of everything that caught my eye. He defended multiple positions, rebounded in traffic, and provided scoring. The versatile forward finished with 15 points in the game I watched.

[player_tooltip player_id="1423599" first="Cameron" last="Wood"] 6’4 SF D1 Southern California 2023 - Wood was one of the better wings I saw last time I was in California. I didn’t think he was as effective this weekend, however, I loved how he competed. Wood showed some nice skills getting open, but his shots just didn’t fall. Despite that, he stayed aggressive and found other ways to help his team. Wood rebounded the ball and despite the cold-shooting, still finished in double figures with 10 points in the game I saw.

[player_tooltip player_id="1451310" first="Malachi" last="Williams"] 6’0 PF N.W.A 2023 - Williams is an undersized post that did a lot of little things for his team. He played hard and physically on the defensive end, knocking opponents off their spots. He was a good communicator and teammate, moving the ball and facilitating in his team’s Zone defense.

Skylar Strickland 6’0 PG Rose City 2023 - Stickland played hard and was an absolute dawg on the defensive end. He hounded opposing ballhandlers using a low center of gravity and good lateral quickness to stay with his man. He also did a good job as a backup ballhandler protecting the ball for his team. He didn’t shoot often but he did manage to attack when he was pressured, getting to the rim and scoring. He was a terrific utility guy that is a necessity for any successful team.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253139" first="Antwan" last="Jones"] 5’11 SG Nevada Hard 2 Guard 2025 (#37PHN 2025) (featured image) - Jones was one of the better two-way players I saw. He was a hawk on defense, harassing ballhandlers and getting passing lane steals. He did a good job of turning his defense into offense, grabbing the ball, and finishing in transition. Jones was also one of the better offensive glue guys, slashing his way to the rim en route to finishing with 18 points in the game I saw.

Maishon Montray 5’10 SG Splash City West 2022 - Montray was a hard-nosed defender who held his squad together with his on-ball defensive ability. He also served as an additional ballhandler against the press. Several times the guard turned on the afterburners to beat defenders and score on the other end.

For Exclusive Content With Top Prospects
