Hoop Group Pitt Jam Fest 2022: Mason Elite 17U

Our coverage of the 2023 class in the Pittsburgh area focuses attention on the AAU programs that participated in the 2022 Hoop Group Pitt Jam Fest. The tenth coverage article gives insight into the Mason Elite 17U program. These talented players brought fundamental skills to the Pitt Jam Fest this past weekend in front of a variety of college coaches while looking to raise their stock as recruits. After talking with high school coaches, AAU coaches, college coaches, scouts, officials, and media members we here at Prep Hoops Pennsylvania have created a database of players and their AAU teams to provide information for any subscribers to our site. We do our best to promote the student-athletes that work hard on the court to achieve their goal of playing college basketball.   MASON ELITE 17U: [player_tooltip player_id="1186052" first="Adam" last="Bilinsky"] - Norwin HS - 6’3 - wing forward - 2023 -- A slashing wing that looks to get to the basket on penetration from the baseline or the wing at the three-point line -- He has a teamwork mindset and is extremely unselfish on offense and looks to do all the little things on defense for his team -- Adam is getting quality interest from a variety of schools on the collegiate level   [player_tooltip player_id="991346" first="Vinnie" last="Cugini"] - Aquinas Academy HS - 6’2 - combo guard - 2023 -- An above-average scorer who always wants the ball in his hands to be a leader for his team -- The up-tempo style of play makes this young man a more deadly performer in transition and running the floor -- Vinnie is gathering a variety of interest and a few college basketball offers   [player_tooltip player_id="991365" first="Dante" last="DePante"] - Central Catholic HS - 6’2 - point guard - 2023 -- With the offense being run through him gives this guard many opportunities to showcase his ability on the hardwood -- He scores from many different spots during a game and shoots with confidence -- Dante has picked up some offers at the next level and is getting more interest moving forward   [player_tooltip player_id="991356" first="Ryan" last="Edwards"] - Norwin HS - 5’10 - point guard - 2023 -- A top-level free throw shooter for his team -- His court awareness and passing are above-average -- Ryan is a hard worker with a strong skillset   Thomas Kristian - Central Catholic HS - 6’0 - shooting guard - 2023 -- He is an under-rated shooting guard that has a great work ethic -- This young man is unselfish and likes to do a little bit of everything for his team -- Thomas hustles all over the court and has a high motor   [player_tooltip player_id="991389" first="Michael" last="Pfeuffer"] - Mt. Lebanon HS - 6’1 - shooting guard - 2023 -- A sound perimeter shooter that looks to shoot from many spots on behind the three-point line -- His ability to find the open man is a definite strength of this junior guard -- Michael is a proven floor general and leader with a high basketball IQ   Noah Mason - Central Catholic HS - 5’11 - wing forward - 2023 -- He rebounds extremely well on both the offensive and defensive glass -- This tough kid likes to set screens to free up his shooters -- Noah is a solid defender and looks to lock up his opponents on the perimeter or in the post   [player_tooltip player_id="1395868" first="Patrick" last="Newell"] - Central Catholic HS - 6’3 - power forward - 2023 -- A developing forward that can play with his back to the basket or facing up on the wing -- His ability to provide unselfishness and teamwork makes him a quiet difference-maker on the court -- Pat rebounds well on defense and is a solid defender   Brady Sulinski - Central Catholic HS - 6’2 - wing forward - 2023 -- He is continuing to mature into a solid player for his team -- Look for this young man to become a knockdown shooter as the summer moves forward -- Brady is a hustler and likes to cause havoc on defense with steals and deflections
