Grand Forks, ND - The Roughriders finished in 4th place in the EDC regular season this year. Things did not go as planned in the EDC Tourney. However, Red River had some very impressive wins this year over State qualifying teams. They beat West Fargo (State Runner-ups) twice in the regular season and another top team with Sheyenne. The Roughriders will lose senior talent, with one of them being an All-State player named [player_tooltip player_id="812222" first="Paine" last="Parks"]. Next year, Parks will be moving on to play football at UND. Red River will bring back a ton of talent, they will have one of the best starting lineups in the entire state. The Roughriders have all the pieces in place to be a top team next year in Class A. They will have skill, size, athletes, and many shooters. Red River will certainly be a highly ranked team when the Prep Hoops State Polls come out. This team has 3 players hooping this spring and summer in AAU and they are off to a great start. One of their big men [player_tooltip player_id="1050260" first="Logan" last="Arason"] just won the State Championship in the discus and he took 2nd in the javelin. Congrats Logan!
