The Carolina Cup produced a number of GameChangers from the state of North Carolina and surrounding areas. Take a look at the 15U Gamechangers from this past weekend’s event on the PrepHoops Circuit stage.
Jalyn Connor Jalyn Connor 5'10" | PG Charlotte Elite Academy | 2025 State NC – 5’10 Point Guard – Team Charlotte 2025
Connor is quite the game-changing floor general for Team Charlotte 2025 as he led them to a 4-0 debut on the PrepHoops Circuit at the Carolina Cup. They had a 1-point victory across four wins but their other games weren’t even close as he showed whether under pressure or not, he could help his squad get the job done as a point guard. He’s a constant pest defensively and does well to find his playmakers to make things happen for them. He’s one to track at Mallard Creek High.
Mekhi Sneed – 5’10 Point Guard – NC Wildcats 2025
Sneed was quite the game-changer on both ends of the spectrum for the NC Wildcats 2025 group. He’s a point guard that plays with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor, looking to apply constant pressure on opponents to force them into tough decisions. He turned heads with his ability to handle the ball, get to the paint and find others for easy buckets as the pace-setter on the floor. He’s going to be fun to watch over the next few years at Jordan High.
Aidan Gregory – 5’11 Guard – 2025 ESF Threat DC Purple
Gregory is one of a few names to know in the 2025 ESF Threat DC Purple backcourt given his ability to get things going as a gamechanger. There wasn’t a time when checking in on this squad that Gregory wasn’t looking to make something happen whether as a slasher/driver or with movement off the ball. He’s a bouncy guard that plays with a ton of energy when he’s on the floor with a ton of quickness to blow by defenders. He’s a name to know out of St. John’s College High in the DC area.
Kendrick Johnson – 6’1 Guard – Underrated Athletes 2025
Johnson is an emerging name to keep an eye on with Underrated Athletes 2025. He’s got a nice blend of scoring and playmaking that allows him to run the show for his squad and when needed, he can go off scoring the ball, without needing to shoot a lot of 3-pointers. He’s shown his scoring prowess in multiple events now after putting his PH Circuit-best performance together this past weekend with 40 points in their lone victory of the weekend. He’s a name to keep eyes on over at Piedmont Classical School.
Tre Harlee Tre Harlee 6'5" | PF JM Robinson | 2026 State NC – 6’2 Forward – Team Charlotte 2025 (2026)
Harlee was another member of Team Charlotte 2025 that stood out as a gamechanger with his ability to make an impact on the interior. He’s got a nice frame and length at 6-foot-2 that he used to bully opponents down low and show off his ability to protect the rim as a shot-blocker and rebounder. While he’s only a member of the 2026 class in the state of North Carolina, he’s already making waves in the paint area for Team Charlotte ‘s 2025 group and is one to watch going forward with his upside.
Ameil Braswell – 6’3 Forward – NC Wildcats 2025
Braswell was quite the game-changing prospect for NC Wildcats 2025 in their Carolina Cup showing at the forward spot. He showed he could play either forward spot with a knack for getting rebounds out the net and getting downhill on the fastbreak, using his strength/frame to combat traffic in the paint. He wasn’t shy about playing physical on either end of the floor and rebounded well enough on both ends to make his presence felt. He’ll be one to keep watch on over at Hillside High in the future.
Damari Witherspoon – 6’5 Power Forward/Center – CAAT Wildcats 2025
Witherspoon was quite the versatile frontcourt prospect for CAAT Wildcats 2025 as he held his own as a gamechanger in the paint. He showed he was strong enough to hold his own as a rim-protector and mobile enough to defend out on the perimeter and make opponents uncomfortable as an on-ball defender. When he got the ball offensively, good things happened as well as he showed he could finish at the rim with the first dunk of his amateur career. He’s got good upside out of East Paulding High in Georgia.
Tyler Latham – 5’9 Guard – Underground Phenoms 2025
Latham was quite the game-changer in the Underground Phenoms 2025 rotation as their primary attacker. He was another prospect who, no matter the time, was showing off his ability whenever I checked in on his games. He’s got a nice blend of moves off the bounce and off the catch that showed off his ability to score on all three levels in a variety of ways. He’ll be a name to know over the few years as he continues to develop his all-around game.
James Carswell – 6’3 Forward/Wing – Underrated Athletes 2025
Carswell is another name to know from the Underrated Athletes 2025 rotation. He’s a versatile prospect at 6-foot-3 that plays with a ton of energy as a presence on the perimeter and in the paint. He’s got good length he knows how to use well to maneuver for rebounds and shots in traffic. He’s not shy about extending the game to the perimeter and creating shots, either. He’s a new face to track over at Lake Norman Charter.
Jordan Greene – 5’10 Guard – 2025 ESF Threat DC Purple
Greene is the other feature name to know with 2025 ESF Threat DC Purple given what he can do in their backcourt. He’s a fast-starter offensively, especially with the ball in his hands, that won’t hesitate to be aggressive and make plays with his ability to get to the paint area and finish in traffic. He’s one to watch over at St. Vincent Pallotti.
