Carolina Crossover took over Upward Stars SE 3SSB Center as a ton of talent was on display. Take a look at the GameChangers from this past weekend at Carolina Crossover.
Jordan Frazer Jordan Frazer 6'1" | CG Cardinal Newman | 2023 State SC – 6’1 Guard – HYB Raptors 2023
Frazer was quite the lead guard prospect to handle with HYB Raptors 2023 group. While his bigs terrorized opponents down low, he terrorized them on the perimeter with his ability to apply constant ball pressure, force turnovers and finish in traffic. He’s a strong guard prospect with a ton of upside with this group.
Travis Stickney Travis Stickney 6'1" | PG Oceanside Collegiate | 2024 State SC – 6’1 Guard – Lowcountry Storm 2023 (2024)
Stickney is the first of two Gamechangers in the 2024 class that excelled at the 17U level this past weekend. He did well to show he can move without the ball and find openings for shots and even created free-throw opportunities with his ability to create contact in the paint. He’s got breakout potential in the Passion Region.
Demarco Davis – 6’2 Guard – Metro Elite Basketball Club 2023 (2024)
Davis was another 2024 prospect playing up on the 17U level but he didn’t show many signs of slowing down with his ability to handle the point guard duties while still finding his own offense. He got to his spots on all three levels and showed he can knock down shots on the perimeter and inside the paint as well.
Jaylen Carrington – 6’1 Guard – Auburn Raptors 2023
Carrington did a lot of things on both ends of the floor to ultimately earn his Gamechanger nod. He was a playmaker off the bounce, a sharpshooter moving without the ball and a presence defensively as well that showed he can make an impact on the floor. He’s got breakout potential in the Auburn Raptors backcourt.
Rashad Dames – 6’4 Guard/Wing – Zaytoven Elite 2023
Dames was quite the utility guy for Zaytoven Elite at Carolina Crossover with his ability to play multiple roles on the floor. He battled for boards, defended with energy and showed he can play a physical game down low and finish in traffic. On the perimeter, he did well to create shots for himself and opportunities for others as well.
Keaton Tait – 6’5 Forward – Zaytoven Elite 2023
Tait was an impressive dual-forward prospect given his ability to attack the paint and use his strong frame as a dual-forward prospect. He showed quite the poise as a finisher in traffic and showed off his ability to play big at just 6-foot-5 on the floor at the 4/5 spot.
Shedrach Makanjuola – 6’6 Forward/Center – HBSA 2023
Makanjuola was a presence in the paint that excelled for HBSA 2023 at Carolina Crossover. He’s a prospect that plays with quite the motor and energy with his ability to get to the rim off the bounce as a perimeter threat and as a paint presence that can battle on the boards.
Amari Willis – 6’6 Forward – Metro Elite Basketball Club 2023 (2022)
Willis was once again a dual-forward threat that made things happen with his ability to finish at the rim and create out of the fastbreak. He’s a prospect that can get his own rebound and find ways to get to the rim and finish with authority and also isn’t shy about finding his shot outside of the paint.
Patrick Screws Patrick Screws 6'6" | PF Eufaula | 2023 AL – 6’8 Center – Auburn Raptors 2023
Screws was quite the burden to take on in the post against the Auburn Raptors. While he’s already a standout football recruit, he showed he’s got game on the hardwood as well with his traditional post moves and his ability to move opponents in the paint to get rebounds. He’s got upside as a basketball recruit at the next level.
Brandon Crawford Brandon Crawford 6'10" | PF Irmo | 2023 State SC – 6’9 Center – HYB Raptors 2023
Crawford has come a long way over the past few summers with HYB Raptors 2023. He showed his growth as a high-level shot-blocker (9 blocks in their final game) while also showing his ability to rim-run and make plays at the rim offensively as well. He’s due for a breakout summer in SC’s 2023 class.
