Bob Gibbons: Unsigned 2022 Top Performers

2022 5-10 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1231793" first="Christian" last="Watkins"] – One Shot Shooters – Woodland-Stockbridge
The One Shot Shooters have had a successful season large in part due to the play of [player_tooltip player_id="1231793" first="Christian" last="Watkins"]. He’s a high-octane scorer that has jitterbug quickness with the ball. He has the neon green light to launch from well beyond the three-point line and has the accuracy to connect. Watkins also has some creativity with the ball and good court vision.

2022 5-10 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1199601" first="Marquin" last="Thompson"] – Team Tatum – South Gwinnett
I saw [player_tooltip player_id="1199601" first="Marquin" last="Thompson"] last offseason and thought he had what it took to be an impact player his senior season. Thompson plays with a great motor. He’s super athletic and shifty when attacking the rim. Thompson springs up to the rim and hangs in the air to finish against shot blockers. Munchy is an effective on-ball defender and a sneaky good shot blocker for his size. He provides infectious energy.

2022 6-2 G [player_tooltip player_id="1130589" first="Jay" last="King"] – Georgia South – First Presbyterian Day
Prolific scorer heading to Feltrim Academy averaged over 30 points per game. Netted 19 points in a win over South Florida going 11-14 from the line. Very good shooter that creates his own space on the perimeter. Tough shot maker. Pull-up jumper is hard to defend. Should resurface at D-I or D-II level shortly.

2022 6-4 G [player_tooltip player_id="1264059" first="Bryce" last="Blaine"] – Team Huncho – Berkmar
The big guard had a great weekend, scoring from all three levels. He has the strength to absorb contact on drives and can finish with either hand. Shoots the three very well. Helps out on the glass and showed a playmaking ability at Gibbons, whistling in assists in tight quarters. Can be a plug-and-play impact freshman.

2022 6-0 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1049117" first="JaQuez" last="Thornton"] – Team Huncho – Drew Charter
Electric playmaker and scorer. Southpaw is a blazing slasher and lethal shooter. Has great court vision. Thrives in an up-tempo game. Aggressive on-ball defender that earns steals. One of the very best unsigned seniors available. Plays with a lot of emotion.
