More commitments from the city and Long Island.

[player_tooltip player_id="1046077" first="Jamir" last="Stewart"]. Baldwin

Commitment: John Jay (D3) CUNY

John Jay college gets a combo guard who comes from a high school program that stresses sharing the ball. Jamir will score in bunches, but he knows when to get his teammates involved. A smooth shooter from three is a perfect addition. A Long Island guard who has the city mentality of toughness and confidence, will be a nice fit for this program.

[player_tooltip player_id="1213858" first="Latiek" last="Briscoe"] St Francis Prep

Commitment : St Rose (D2)

A nice get for St Rose. Also a great spot for Latiek to show his talents. Should be a major contributor for St Rose. Has the potential to be an all conference player. The college hoop landscape has changed with the transfer portal and other things so these D2 programs are going to get highly talented players. Not to say they haven’t did in the past but it’s going to more common. Latiek can score many different ways. His quickness and handle gets him into the lane for a deadly pull up jumper. He can also get to the rim or shoot the three. Can rebound and start the break or go coast to coast on his own. Big fan of this player.

[player_tooltip player_id="1144076" first="RJ" last="Green"] Iona Prep

Post Grad Southern California Academy (pictured)

A tremendous all around player. Really tough to stop going to the rim. Can rebound and start the break. Strong on the offensive boards as well. Nice mid range game. Has added the the three ball to his arsenal. A player to keep up with to see where he lands after this Post grad stop. Potentially and talent wise a mid major type player.

[player_tooltip player_id="1046091" first="Jacob" last="Oka"] Baldwin

Commitment: Cortland SUNY (D3)

Strong bodied interior player. A ferocious rebounder. Good tracker of the ball. Scores inside using his frame and quickness. Can take you off the two dribble bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id="1125610" first="Steven" last="McGriff"] Loughlin

Commitment: Monroe community college

Steven is coming off a injury in his senior season. He will go play at Monroe junior college. He can score inside with an assortment of jump hooks. Displayed numerous post moves in a spring tournament last year before his injury. Uses his size to gain position.

Aazaiah Ross Portledge

Commitment: Bates college (D3)

The Bates college faithful will love the energy Aazaiah brings on both ends of the floor. He is a guy who plays hard on every possesion. A bona fife stat stuffer throughout his H S career. Look for him to continue that style of play. Should be a player that at the end of the season his stats look like 10 points 7 rebounds 2 steals and three assists per game.

Rich Smith

Commitment: St Thomas Aquinas

Plays the game at a fast pace. Keeps defenses and the opposing player aware of his speed and of his attack mode. Gets to the rim and creates contact and can finish. Turns defense to offense in a flash. An athletic guard who will make his presence felt quickly for the successful D2 program.
