Rmoni Warner — PG — Minnesota Grizzlies
Warner was ready to go straight from the jump on Sunday morning. When playing in 8:00 AM games, sometimes prospects can come out a little slow as they try to wake themselves up. Warner was ready to play right away. The point guard was super active on both ends. He made a handful of threes and competed hard on defense. As an uncommitted 2022 prospect, Warner really impressed and caught my eye in the first game of the day.
Sam Massaquoi Sam Massaquoi 5'11" | PG Robbinsdale Cooper | 2023 State MN — PG — Minnesota Grizzlies
While Warner was doing a lot of work in the first half for the Grizzlies, Massaquoi was sitting back and waiting for his turn. And his turn came early in the second half. The point guard started the second period by driving to the hoop and finishing two layups. He then made a three and got to the free throw line. I really liked how Massaquoi pushed the pace and was aggressive in the second half.
Jordan Clayton Jordan Clayton 6'2" | CG Bradford Christian Academy | 2023 State New E — PG — Mass Rivals 3SSB
I loved how Clayton started the game for Mass Rivals on Saturday morning. The point guard drilled a couple of threes and did a great job of getting open teammates opportunities. He didn’t just get it done on the offensive end, though. Clayton was also tremendous as a defender. He is a physical, fast defender that was pesky as on-ball. Holding a handful of Division One scholarship offers, Clayton is a name to watch going forward.
Sebastian Wilkins — PF — Mass Rivals 3SSB
Playing up two age groups in a lower-level game would be impressive. But Wilkins is a 2025 prospect who is playing up two age groups at the highest level of AAU basketball. Wilkins didn’t just show up, he played extremely well. The power forward rebounded well, finished through contact, and played tough defense. Wilkins is going to be a problem on the court for many years to come.
Dallas Bear — SF — Iowa Barnstormers
I mean what else is there to say about Bear? He has been outstanding all spring and the stretch forward continued to play well on Sunday in Minnesota. If you leave Bear open from three, the small forward is going to get up a shot, and it is probably going to go in. He has such a quick release. When he catches the ball, he doesn’t bring it back down at all. He keeps it high and flings up a three. Bear was able to score 19 points on five made threes in a tough loss on Saturday afternoon.
RaSheed Jones — SG — Mac Irvin Fire
Jones is an uncommitted 2022 prospect who had a big weekend in Minneapolis. The shooting guard is a tall prospect that does a nice job of using his length to score. He has a smooth stroke from outside and also showed an ability to get buckets in the paint. He was able to score 17 points in a big win for Mac Irvin Fire over the Iowa Barnstormers. College coaches should get on Jones while they still can.
Vincent Vandervest Vincent Vandervest 6'4" | SF Bay Port | 2023 State WI — SG — Team 1848
Playing against a loaded team with many top prospects, Vandervest showed no fear. On Team 1848’s first possession of the game, the shooting guard caught a lob and threw down a huge dunk. On the next possession, he grabbed an offensive rebound and put it right back up for a layup. It was at this point that I knew Vandervest belonged with top tier prospects. He continued to attack the rim for the remainder of the game and found a lot of success. Vandervest’s stock continues to soar.
