In the land of a thousand lakes, some of the top teams of the Midwest met up to battle head to head. Every court had high-level talent on display. Here are some of the prospects who made a splash this weekend.
Justin Jones | WI Playground Club
Jones is a shifty lead guard who has a steady handle and a quick first step. His ability to break down his defender was a constant bonus for Wisconsin Playground Club. His knack for getting into the paint made for; corner threes, timely passes to layups, and soft floaters.
McNeil is a lead guard who holds a unique combination of power and agility. His lateral quickness made him hard to stay in front of. His playmaking ability each of the teammates around him a threat. His intensity on defense led the way for CBA.
Lamont Hamilton | Wisconsin Elite
Hamilton was a one-on-one nightmare who drew help more times than not. His ability to get to the paint put Wisconsin Elite in position to get; drive and kick threes, basket cuts behind the defense, and get to the line when the opposition was caught scrambling to help.
Takis Tyler | X-Men United
Tyler handled the ball pressure with ease. His tight handle and foresight made for high-level playmaking. He made plays on defense as well and proved to be a menace; applying ball pressure, causing turnovers, and ill-advised passes.
Konner Lorenz | Inspired Athletics
Lorenz is a lead guard with an arsenal of moves whilst handling the ball. His ability to stop and go left defenses at odds, which brought; his soft touch in the mid-range, finishes with finesse around the rim, and timely bounce passes to teammates. The crafty guards’ ability to see the play before it happened was a catalyst for Inspired Athletics.
