Quinn Woidke (2025) Ohio Buckets-Christie (St, Ignatius)
Woidke plays his role well for the Buckets and impressed in a Saturday morning win over Flint Affiliation. Woidke has great speed, utilizing his quick hands and footwork with the basketball in his possession. Makes the defense work and is patient with his decision making. Likely will be a role guy as he continues to develop.
Cortez Freeman Cortez Freeman 6'2" | SG Africentric | 2024 State OH (2024) All Ohio Red (Canal Winchester)
Freeman has a way of speeding up defenses with his aggressiveness and reach. The Canal Winchester product capitalized on transition plays for AOR and scored the first several baskets for Red in their win Saturday. Freeman creates the turnovers on the defensive end, but also makes plays on the offensive side of the ball with his shooting and shot creation.
Quinn Hart Quinn Hart 6'1" | CG Dublin Coffman | 2024 OH (2024) Mid Ohio Pumas -Mills (Dublin Coffman)
Hart plays with a lot of unselfishness I’ve seen from previous Coffman guards. Collected and calm with possession. Unselfish and team-first, always looking to make the extra pass or the easy play vs taking the contested shot. Hart fits what the Pumas like to do-execute half court offense and play your role well.
Tysen Campbell (2024) SMAC Akron (Archbishop Hoban)
Campbell and his SMAC team got an exciting matchup with Ohio Buckets Garcia in pool play. I liked Campbell’s explosiveness on the offensive end and separation he created with the first few steps. Campbell contributed as a slasher- getting penetration on the dribble drive and setting other guys up for scoring opportunities. I like his style and think he can be a key member for a Hoban team on the rise.
Luke Rubin (2025) Mid Ohio Pumas -English (Oakwood)
Rubin played with one of the highest motors I’ve seen in a 15U player in a long time. Undersized, but plays a lot bigger than he truly is. Rubin understands the basis of a motion offense and makes crisp passes while cutting with a purpose. Defensively got up on the ball and used his lateral quickness to defend at an elite level. Rubin likely will see some Varsity minutes in the Winter with his focus on the fundamentals and willingness to be a role player.
Roman Mason (2025) Mid Ohio Pumas -Gold (Moeller)
Mason reminds me of what I see in Moeller PG’s. Pass first, unselfish player. Mason checks both boxes as he showed this against an EYBL team in Bates Fundamentals. Mason keeps a tight handle and was unphased by pressure on the perimeter. Utilizes his thicker build to overpower smaller defenders when handling the basketball. Mason can fit what Moeller wants to do and should continue to be watched moving forward.
Solomon Callaghan Solomon Callaghan 6'0" | PG Wadsworth | 2023 State OH (2023) Ohio Buckets Turf (Wadsworth)
Callaghan has impressed me in previous games, but again he helped his Buckets team in a Gold bracket title. The lefty guard made some tough shots for the Buckets in their earlier games Sunday and was finishing through and around traffic. Great handle of the basketball and played with pace when the ball needed to be pushed. Callaghan is going to be one of the best players in NE Ohio with Wadsworth and should continue to be attracting some collegiate attention with his play.
Kam Baxter-Bell (2023) Dayton Elite-Grey (Stivers)
Baxter-Bell impressed me with his explosiveness on the perimeter, particularly when he was putting the ball on the floor. His first few steps are swift and has a nasty crossover to create separation. Gets decent looks at the rim and showed willingness to get shots up with either hands. If Baxter-Bell can find some consistency getting those shots to fall more often, he’s going to be a target for D3’s across the state.
Beau Siegfried (2025) Gurus to Go (Louisville)
Siegfried doesn’t jump off the page with a college like body or thicker frame. Instead the Louisville product caught attention with his simplicity to his game. Limited turnovers and controlled the ball against All Ohio Red in the 15U championship. Makes the smart passes and made good looks with the ball. I like Siegfried and his game especially with Louisville in the Winter.
