Amari Evans| 6’4” | G | Bishop Canevin 2025
Evans burst on the scene as a scorer at all levels who is also capable of running an offense as a big bodied lead guard. He’s at his best getting out in transition and making moves into the paint. Playing on a deep and talented Bishop Canevin team, Evans played a big role on their way to the state title. Evans is going to be another part of the best crop of talent to come out of Pittsburgh in quite some time. He has potential to grow into a highly recruited guard. Evans has played his AAU with the NY Lightning and could see his stock rise to the elite level.
RJ Sledge| 5’8” | G| Bishop Canevin 2025
Gino Palmosina had a team that was capable of competing with any team in Pennsylvania this year. They could have even tackled a regional schedule night in-night out…The returning Evans and Sledge will give them one of the premier backcourt combos in the WPIAL next winter and allow them to tackle the best-of-the-best once again. Sledge also made a big mark as a freshman earning big minutes on a Crusaders team that had more than its fair share of upperclassmen that were college level basketball players. He’s crafty, quick and smooth. In spite of his small stature, he gets at the rim with the force of a much larger player. He’s very active on defense, a good passer and will only continue to see his stock rise.
Jayden Davis Jayden Davis 5'10" | CG Chartiers Valley | 2025 State PA | 5’10” | G| Chartiers Valley
Special. One word to describe Davis. Scorer. That’s another. Davis had an electric freshman year. He dropped 27 in his first varsity game and just kept pouring in the points from there. A high octane player on offense, he also has another gear defensively. He’s got a robust skill set for a freshman and is yet another part of a crop of WPIAL youth that will be making noise in the coming years. He plays AAU for Team Final.
Notorious Grooms | 5’10” | G| Uniontown Area
There’s something in the water in Fayette County right now. Laurel Highlands is brimming with talent and now Uniontown has a special one of their own. Grooms is good out in the open court, leads the fast break well and gets at it on defense. He’s got a sweet spot out on the wing beyond the arc. The WPIAL has some depth in its younger years and as of now, he’s the top player in the Uniontown area in his class.
