Khali Horton, 6’7 PF 2023 Legacy Early College (SC) – Wildcats Select 17 U: Horton was a force for the Wildcats against Utah Prospects. Horton was making shots from the outside and using his athleticism in transition to overpower a less physically talented squad. When Horton is making shots and locked in, he’s a very impressive prospect and playing well in front of the college coaches should see his offer list increase from a current 3.
Dellquan Warren Dellquan Warren 6'2" | PG Keystone Athletic Academy | 2024 #153 Nation PA , 6’0 PG 2024 Erie First Christian Academy (PA) – Wildcats Select 17 U: Warren continues to show why he’s one of the top point guards in all of the Midwest. Defensively he was pick pocketing opposing ball handlers left and right with his quick hands and fast anticipation. Warren also showed his improved passing with no look dimes throughout this game. A high major talent for sure, expect Warren’s recruitment to heat up this summer.
Lance Hayes Lance Hayes 6'4" | SG St. Vincent-St. Mary's | 2023 State OH , 6’4 SG STVM 2023 – Midwest Basketball Club 17 U: Hayes was instrumental to Midwest’s right victory over Indiana Elite to end Friday night. Hayes played well with a couple mid-range jumpers and finished around the basket. Hayes was finishing with both hands around the rim off cuts and lobs. Hayes defense wasn’t as disruptive as it sometimes is, but he’s always going to bring it on that end as well.
Jake Davis Jake Davis 6'6" | SF Cathedral | 2023 State IN , 6’5 PF Indy Cathedral 2023 – Indiana Elite 17 U: Davis was automatic from downtown making around five 3-pointers to lead his team in scoring in this contest. Davis plays his role to perfection, limiting turnovers and making quick decisions with the basketball. I love how Davis is either going up with a shot, making one hard dribble then either passing or going up for a layup. Davis also might be giving up a few inches on the inside, but his rebounding is not a concern for me at the next level.
Mikey McCollum Mikey McCollum 6'3" | PG Olentangy Orange | 2023 State OH , 6’3 CG Olentangy Orange 2023 – Ohio United 17 U: Despite the opening night loss for Ohio United, McCollum stood out as a top performer thanks to his confidence to take and make open shots and his size allowing him to read the defense and find the open man. Look for Ohio United to bounce back as a team later this weekend with McCollum playing a key role.
