I was in attendance all weekend watching the 15Us at Triton Central, and I was able to see some of the best talent from teams across the entire country. Let’s take a look at the top rebounders from Indiana that I saw this past weekend.
Quinn Begley – 6’2” SF – Crown Point (Team GRIII Black)
Begley is a tough forward who is a coach’s dream thanks to his hustle and hard work on the floor. He attacks the glass on both ends, and he is patient when he gets the ball inside with shot fakes and can finish through contact. Begley also showed he could hit from the outside and finish at the rim with both hands around the rim.
Ryan Fraker – 6’2” SF – Portage (Team GRIII White)
Fraker is a smaller forward who was aggressive on the glass, and he wasted no time after grabbing the boards. On the defensive end, he grabbed it and immediately looked to push it up the floor. On the offensive end, he was going up for the putback almost the second that it touched his hands. Good performance from Fraker this weekend for sure.
Isaiah King (2026) – 6’3” PF – Homeschool – Waterloo, IN (Rock Summit Basketball)
King is a big forward inside who might have had some of the best footwork and post moves of the weekend. He has good touch around the rim, and he can finish both over and through defenders. He also blocked out well and was able to put himself in position for rebounds. He is only an eighth-grader right now, so this kid has a ton of room to grow in the future.
Carter Klaus – 6’4” PF (Grand Park Premier White)
Klaus is a big and tough post player, and his offensive rebounding was top-notch. As soon as a shot went up, he was in the paint, working to get the rebound. This led to several easy buckets and helped GPP pull away. His work ethic and his strive to do the dirty work on the court make him a fun player to watch.
Drew Snively – 6’3” SF Zionsville (D1 Indiana)
Shively is probably more of a shooting guard than a small forward, but he has quite a few good qualities of both positions. He is strong on the glass, and he seemed to be in there every time a shot went up on both ends of the floor. He also looked to push every time he got the rebound. On the offensive end, he knocked down some threes and mid-range jumpers. A good weekend all around for Shively.
Ben Slagley – 6’2” PF – New Palestine (D1 Indiana)
Slagley is a big and strong post player who will try to out-physical you inside. He always looks for contact when he gets it in the post, and he finished quite well around the rim. He also worked hard on the glass and grabbed a bunch of rebounds. All in all, Slagley was a monster in the paint, and he should be in line for a big Grassroots season.
Nic Spence – 6’3” PF – LaPorte (Indiana Attack Basketball Club)
Spence is a tough forward who was fairly quiet in the first half, but he woke up in the second half thanks to his effort on the offensive glass. He had several offensive rebounds which led to easy buckets around the rim. Spence also knocked down a mid-range jumper, but his biggest effort was no doubt on the glass on both ends of the floor.
