When North Carolina and Kansas take the floor of the Superdome, there will be three starters from the state of Missouri. North Carolina features former CBC guard Caleb Love while Kansas features starting guards Ochai Agbaji (Oak Park) and Dajuan Harris (Rock Bridge).
All three had dynamic performances in their team’s victories in the national semifinals on Saturday. Here is a look at the three Show-Me standouts.
Caleb Love: The 6’4” guard has been tremendous in the tournament as he’s averaging 20 points a game. He scored 30 points in the East regional semifinals against UCLA with 27 coming in the second half. In the national semifinals against Duke, he scored a game high 28 points, including 22 in the second half.
Ochai Agbaji: The 6’5” shooting guard was one of the best players in the country this season. He was the Player of the Year in the Big Xll Conference and a First-Team All-American. He is averaging 18.9 points and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 41 percent from 3-point range. In the national semifinals against Villanova, he scored 21 points, including six of seven shooting from 3-point range.
Dejuan Harris Jr: The 6’1 point guard is a terrific floor leader who makes his teammates better with his playmaking while playing stellar defense. He is averaging 5.5 points, 4.2 assists and 1.4 steals a game. In the victory over Villanova in the national semifinals, he had nine points and four assists. He also made three of his five attempts from 3-point range.
