While they may not be one of the most recognizable AAU programs in Wisconsin, Team 1848’s 17U team will no doubt be one of the most dangerous squads in the state this AAU season.

Here are seven prospects to keep an eye on for Team 1848:

[player_tooltip player_id="1024443" first="A.J." last="Lieuwen"] -- 6-foot -- CG

Lieuwen is one of the most underrated guards in the state. He is a true scorer who can really make things happen when he has the ball in his hands. The 6-foot combo guard is a great slasher that can get to the rim and finish amongst taller defenders. He is also a great shooter from the mid-range and from behind the arc. With Lieuwen leading the way, Team 1848 will always have a chance to win.

[player_tooltip player_id="1043749" first="Emmett" last="Lawton"] -- 6-foot-1 -- SG

I was super impressed by Lawton last AAU season, and I am expecting more from him this spring. The SG is a really talented shooter who defenders have to respect when he is on the court. And even though he may not be a true point guard, Lawton still does a phenomenal job of running his team's offense. Expect Lawton to be a major stock riser this spring.

[player_tooltip player_id="1139642" first="Vincent" last="Vandervest"] -- 6-foot-4 -- SG

I think that Vandervest could be a big X-Factor for Team 1848 in the 2021 AAU season. Standing at 6-foot-4, the shooting guard has great positional size. He also has the skills to match his frame. Around the rim, Vandervest is a fantastic finisher who won't miss too many point-blank opportunities. I truly believe that Vandervest could be in for a breakout AAU campaign.

[player_tooltip player_id="1043748" first="Ethan" last="Wall-Atim"] -- 6-foot-4 -- PF

As a power forward, Wall-Atim may be a bit undersized. However, what he lacks in size, Wall-Atim makes up for with grit and determination. The 2023 prospect is a physical player that is not afraid to get in the paint and scrap for rebounds. He probably won't ever be a super high-volume scorer, but Wall-Atim always makes sure to leave his fingerprints on every game he participates in.

[player_tooltip player_id="1141633" first="Connor" last="Pytleski"] -- 6-foot-1 -- SG

Pytleski is a very dangerous scorer who can get hot in a hurry. The 6-foot-1 shooting guard really impressed last summer and I have no doubt that he will do the same this AAU season. Pytleski is really a problem when he is able to drive to the rim. Possessing the ability to finish with either his right or left hand, the SG is capable of filling up the stat sheet.

[player_tooltip player_id="1289030" first="Garrett" last="Staszak"] -- 5-foot-9 -- PG

Coming off a very good junior season at Appleton North, Staszak is a potential breakout prospect this spring. A deadly shooter from behind the arc, Staszak is not a player that defenders can afford to leave open. The PG also plays with great pace and is a steady hand when his team needs it.

[player_tooltip player_id="1176560" first="Hogan" last="Demovsky"] -- 6-foot-2 -- CG

Demovsky is a very efficient prospect that is a coach's dream. He always seems to make the right basketball play. A great shooter, skilled passer, and improving slasher, I am expecting Demovsky to be a major part of Team 1848's success this spring and summer.
