Scholarship level standouts that schools should know from Prep Hoops Live?  I have some names for you!

Alijah Adem Alijah Adem Alijah Adem 6'2" | PG Spring Valley | 2024 State #174 Nation NV of Chosen Few (6’2 2024 Spring Valley HS, NV). It was another weekend of strong numbers for the Las Vegas Player of the Year. Adem was over 20+ regularly and dishing out his 7-8 assists as this young team played with some of the best independent teams in the country.  Anything new noticed?  I continue to marvel at the crafting of baskets.  It’s not often you see a guard go into the paint, battle for position to collect an o-board, and then use a sweet spin to get space for a score.  And I love the angles that Alijah takes on the floor.  It sets up shots for others as they move in transition, it sets up his attack to comfortable spots while forcing defenders to move their feet quicker to try and get to angles. And that shooting touch, simply said, it’s pretty.  And it’s just as pretty on the catch and hit as it is on the fake into a dribble that sets up his shot because the foot work is outstanding.

Damani Barley Damani Barley Damani Barley 6'5" | PG Rochester East | 2023 State #158 Nation NY of NEBC (6’5 2023 Rochester East, NY).  Barley is surely one of the toughest players for a guard to defend on the Circuit.  Barley is so tough to stay in front of and his length makes things even tougher for the initial defender and the secondary. Weekend after weekend of successful attacks and they are done creatively.  Always has a look over the top and his quick change go direction of clears defenders to playmake.  Has played consistently well across both live period weekends.

Darik Dissette Darik Dissette Darik Dissette 6'4" | SG Minot | 2023 State #300 Nation ND of North Dakota Phenom (6’4 2023 Minot, ND).  Darik uses his physical gifts in so many ways.  That is why he is so valuable.  That is why he is a division one prospect.  There are good athletes that find ways to be a special but in only some ways.  If you watch Darik play, he’s kind of like Joe Coleman was back in the day at Hopkins, Minnesota in that he uses his physical gifts to get to the paint at all times and finish in 55/60 percent ways.  Darik also rebounds, he attacks sharply off the first dribble, and defensively he has massive potential.  A hard worker that applies all his physical gifts to be consistently productive.

Anthony Doppler Anthony Doppler Anthony Doppler 6'4" | SG Bismarck Century | 2023 State ND of North Dakota Phemom (6’4 2023 Bismarck Century, ND).  When Doppler’s jumper is on, there are few that can do much with it.  The shot is pretty and he has good size at 6’4.  The pull-up looks to be the toughest to bother him on but Doppler shot well at the arc this weekend.  Scored 17 a game this winter and Anthony looks to be one of the toughest players to make uncomfortable that I’ve seen.  Surely a scholarship talent and the options have started coming his way.

Corbin Garver Corbin Garver Corbin Garver 6'3" | CG Air Academy | 2023 State CO of 24MD Team Daum (6’4 2023 Air Academy, CO).  The first attempts I saw Garver make I thought, solid catch and shoot wing with a good touch, and I believe that is accurate.  Garver was just a couple makes away from being a 40 percent club member this year at the arc and he made over half his attempts.  And how did that happen?  After watching more of Garver I noticed his dribble attack is a bit sharper than I first saw and he certainly gets in the air and has the body control to take contact and finish.  He averaged 17 and 8.5 last year so this is a wing that can do multiple things.

Parker Jones Parker Jones 6'4" | SF Loyola | 2022 State CA-S of BTI (6’7 2022 Loyola, CA).  I watched Parker once, he hit four threes.  I came back around again and saw him hit three more.  I look back at his high school "press clippings" (newspaper articles online) and I see that he’s a taller wing that regularly hits threes.   What caught my attention even more is that he was an active defender that stopped possessions with his positioning.  Throwing in quality passing and higher percentage shooting numbers and you have a prospect that should find a solid place soon.

Deasean Moreno of Chosen Few (6’4 2022 Spring Valley HS, NV).  When it comes to worker forwards, Deasean was surely a player that caught my eye.  Moreno is a quick leaper with some range so tip ins and putbacks are there and he dunked a couple dump offs/leads.  The point man I saw pressuring the ball and a laterally agile player that moves well on the ball screen in both roles.  Definitely the active wing forward that can be used in a number of ways.
