Dreyden Montgomery | Guard/Forward | Albuquerque, NM | ABC Flight Force 2027
Everything Dreyden Montgomery brought to the table was conducive to winning, he made game-changing plays all day long. Montgomery initiated the offense, kept his teammates involved, controlled the glass, got to the foul line, protected the rim, slowed down penetration from the perimeter, jumped throws in the passing lanes leading to fast-break buckets, he carried the scoring load and Dreyden did it all without ever appearing tired or in need of a break, this kid was by far the most productive and active player of the day.
Alex Aluga | Center | Dallas, TX | Texas Impact 4:13
Alex Aluga proved to be a true big man as he posted up and established position on the left block each time down the floor. Offensively, Aluga was the go-to scorer for Texas Impact, his solid footwork and effective post moves put points on the board routinely, often pulling out his powerful drop step turnaround jump hook in the middle of the lane.
Kameron Ijeh | Combo Guard | Dallas, TX | AKR Texas Summitt / Vols Elite 2028
Kameron Ijeh never ceases to amaze me, he’s such a remarkable score-first guard with tremendous instincts and a great understanding of how and when to utilize angles. His offensive prowess was on full display Sunday, Ijeh took over and closed the game out in the last 5 minutes to help seal the victory and push the Vols into the championship round, his unguardable handles and pressure on the rim resulted in 3-point plays and multiple trips to the foul line.
Josiah Rose | Point Guard | Dallas, TX | AKR Texas Summitt / Vols Elite 2028
Josiah Rose was undoubtedly the best rebounding guard in the entire tournament, his ability to leap off the ground on both first and second jumps with power and force allowed Rose to pull down rebounds at an insanely high rate. Rose had a stint where he grabbed 4 straight rebounds on 4 consecutive possessions going up and down the floor and he did this consistently game to game. His efforts on the offensive glass were crucial, Rose crashed the boards untouched at times, getting tip-ins, snatching down his own miss, and always getting a finger on the ball. Nobody stood a chance trying to get a rebound with Josiah Rose around.
London Jackson | Forward | Lacoste, TX | Texas Grind 2029
11U Champion, London Jackson stood out as an undeniable x-factor for Texas Grind. This kid refused to be contained, he swiftly forced his way through multiple box-outs and grabbed defensive boards relentlessly in the biggest game of the weekend. Versatile lefty, after pulling down countless rebounds Jackson looked to push the ball in transition, tiring out the opposing team early on, he also showed a threatening skillset with his shot-making from three-point range and scoring within the paint over traffic and around contesting defenders.
