Each venue was stacked with talent and each program put up some eye-catching performances.
It’s important to recognize the skills that these young athletes are displaying while playing at our events. They going up against some of the top talents in the Nation and being able to compete at the level these athletes are is truly impressive.
Take a look at the third group of players that stood out at the Heartland Kick-Off in Indiana.
Tishawn Clemmons | Team Illinois
Clemmons has established himself well as a sure-minded guard. Last weekend he thrived at breaking down his defender and hitting the three in space for Team Illinois. His change of pace with the ball was a momentum changer in each game. Most noticeable, he doesn’t shy away from pressure when the offense is being played through him.
Athens Mcgillis | Midwest Basketball Club
McGillis is a shifty guard with a silky-smooth arsenal offensively. The Midwest Basketball Club guard managed to get downhill consistently, his change of pace and direction kept his defenders on their heels. His skill and pace made for winning basketball.
Juju Leach | GCG Milwaukee
Leach heats up quickly on the offensive end. He commands a lot of attention and handles it with poise. His upbeat mentality is contagious on this team – he displays leadership qualities that help the flow of the game. His timely scoring makes him a focal point for GCG Milwaukee’s offense.
Brock Walser | Chapman Basketball Academy
Walser is a versatile athlete who is relentless on both ends. His power and agility when attacking the lane make for a fluid offense for CBA South. All five on the floor seem to be more organized and efficient when Walser is in the game. His handles and nose for the ball make him a coast-to-coast threat.
Tyson Davis | Midwest Basketball Club
“Ball-Hawk” comes to mind when assessing Davis’ game. His ability to stay in front on defense; fill the lanes in transition, and battle with the bigs in the paint makes him an impact player for Midwest Basketball Club. He was relentless on the glass. His workhorse mentality led by example time and time again.
Caiden Davis | GCG Milwaukee
I cannot say enough about this GCG Milwaukee group. I heard about the talent before evaluating the team, now after proving themselves in multiple events – they are the real deal. Davis’ size and instinct made for a rebounding clinic in Indiana. He has an elite motor and displays next-level awareness on the pick-and-roll. He was on his opponent’s radar on both ends.
