Grit Region Kick-Off: GameChangers
In this article:
A new, recurring segment after each Prep Hoops Circuit event will be our GameChangers series. Bringing you the best scorekeeping, live video streaming, and team management services of any mobile app on the market, GameChanger is a product every grassroots team in the country can use to better serve their players and their families.
So, what makes a Prep Hoops “GameChanger?” That is up to the eyes of the beholder. It may be an additional top performer still leftover from our prior event coverage. A player who made a key play that swung the game or maybe knocked in a game-winning shot could be highlighted here. Or, it simply could be a prospect that brought all of the intangibles to the table that led his team to victory. Let’s dive on in and highlight some of the GameChangers from the Grit Region Kick-Off down in Louisville, Kentucky.
Cal Bostic Cal Bostic 6'7" | C Park Tudor | 2025 State IN (Park Tudor 2025/EG10 2025): The 6’7″ forward impressed with his constant motor and showed flashes of offensive skill on Sunday. He can finish with both hands inside and goes over every rebound. Bostic will be one to watch as he gets stronger heading into his sophomore year.
Kaydon Custard Kaydon Custard 6'2" | PG Harrison County | 2024 State KY (Harrison County H.S. 2024/Griffin Elite 2024): Led Griffin Elite 2024 in scoring with 22 points in one game over the weekend showing off his athletic, strong frame at the guard spot. Skilled offensive prospect.
Dylan Doss Dylan Doss 5'10" | PG Heritage Christian | 2023 State IN (Heritage Christian 2023/INB 2023 Elite): Doss is a very good shooter that can create his own shot and does a great job in the backcourt for INB Elite. Small college coaches will want to keep an eye on the scoring lead guard this spring and summer.
Dominique Murphy Jr. (East Chicago Central H.S. 2025/D1 Indiana 2024): Super athletic, long freshmen that had a great season at East Chicago and has moved right onto impressing at the Grit Region Kick-Off. Very good in transition, drives it well from the wings, and is very dangerous in transition.
Nolan Wahl (Christian Academy of Louisville 2024/Kentucky Vision Elite 2024): 6’6″ skilled forward, Wahl has the length and size to consistently finish around the basket. He played very well for a talented Kentucky Vision 2024 team each time I saw him.
Mark White Mark White 6'3" | SF Ben Davis | 2024 State IN (Ben Davis H.S. 2024/D1 Indiana 2024): White was very impressive first thing Saturday morning scoring in transition, attacking the basket off of the dribble, and guarding his position well. He should have a very strong spring and summer.
