Andrew Lazarre, Noter Dame West Haven, Class 2022, Position SG
Andrew helped lead Norte Dame West Haven to the championship game in the Division 1 state tournament. Andrew had a game in the tournament with 19 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. He also had a game with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists. Andrew is a guard, who shoots the ball well, and does a good job moving without the ball, and getting to his spots quickly.
Dan Henderson SMSA
Dan Lead the SMSA (Sports and Medical Science Academy) to the division V state finals. In the semi finals Dan was poised down the stretch leading his team to the overtime win. He finished the game with 25 points. Dan showed he can score in multiple ways, and is able to make big time shots when his team needs it most. Dan is a playmaker, and finishes well at the rim.
Joshua Brown, Granby, Position SG, Class 2022
Josh help take Granby to the division IV State finals. Josh was a standout in the semi final game with 26 points. Josh is a high level playmaker. Josh is a great spot up shooter, and can also attack the close out, and drive to the basket. Josh is also a very good on ball defender.
Carson Rivoria, Bristol Central Class 2022
So much attention on the Bristol Central team is to Donavan Clingan, and (rightfully so). The Bristol Central team had other players who were key contributors as well to their state championship. Carson was a key player for the team. Carson is able to get open, due to all the attention on Donavan. Carson rebounds the ball very well for his size, and can be a scorer and a facilitator. He made good entry passes into the post, and also was an efficient scorer throughout the tournament.
Luke Reilly, East Catholic, Position PG, Class 2023
Luke was another key piece to the East Catholic state championship win. Luke is the point guard for the team, and was able to control the offense, and the pace of the games. Luke does a good job making the extra pass, and knew when to get his teammates involved, and when to score. I expect Luke to have a big senior year.
