Alex Austin Alex Austin 5'7" | PG Andrean | 2024 IN – 5’7” PG – Andrean (Team GRIII Black 2024)
Austin is a very small point guard, but he uses his quickness to make plays on the offensive end of the floor. He is always active and looks to push the tempo whenever he can. He also sees the floor well and distributes it in the offense. Austin also knocked down a three to show that he can shoot it from the outside.
Maverick Brown – 6’0” SF – Penn (5Star – Gabler 2024)
Brown is a tough post player who makes his living in the paint and around the rim. He absolutely dominates the glass, and his finishing ability on the inside was good as well. Brown finished with 19 points including some strong finishes through contact. He is still growing, and it will be interesting to see whether he develops into a three or a four in the future.
Landon Delich – 6’3” SF – Crown Point (Team GRIII Black 2024)
Delich is a hard worker inside who really works to out-physical you on the inside and just beat you to every loose ball whether that being a ball on the floor or a rebound. He is extremely tough on the glass, and if you don’t box him out, he will be on the boards. He is really the ultimate glue guy. He did not show much on the offensive end, but his role player abilities were on full display this weekend.
Tyson Frey – 6’3” PF – Fairfield (Anchor Basketball Academy 2024)
Frey is a big tough post, and he was very impressive for Anchor Basketball Academy this weekend. He is patient in the post, and he has nice footwork and good post moves. He also doesn’t force on the inside and passes it well out of the post. Frey can also handle the ball, and although it may seem a little awkward, he is methodical and finishes his drives to the hole. Frey also stepped out and knocked down a triple. Very good weekend from the big man.
Jeremiah Jones Jeremiah Jones 6'4" | C Kankakee Valley | 2024 IN – 6’4” PF – Kankakee Valley (Team GRIII White 2024)
Jones is a tough post who dominates the paint and finishes strong through the contact. He controls the glass, and he uses his strength in the lane. I would like to see him try to pass out of the post a little bit more rather than forcing, but he looks to score which is never a bad thing either.
Brady Mansfield – 6’1” SG – St. Bend St. Joseph (5Star – Gabler 2024)
Mansfield is a guard who can score the ball insanely well, but the better thing about him is his basketball IQ and the fact that he always seems to make the right play. He sees the floor well and makes the right read with the ball the majority of the time. Additionally, his touch around the rim was impressive and he can shoot it from the outside as well.
Kaden Pepper Kaden Pepper 6'3" | SF Westville | 2024 IN – 6’3” SF – Westville (Anchor Basketball Academy 2024)
Pepper is an athletic wing who was making plays everywhere this weekend. The majority of his impact came around the rim and on the defensive end of the floor. With his length, he was able to affect shots and be a major rim protector while also rebounding the ball incredibly well. Pepper also had a couple of solid drives to the hole. If he can really develop his offensive game, then his game will be taken to the next level for sure.
Jayden Razor – 6’3” SF – Franklin Community (Anchor Basketball Academy 2024)
Razor is another very athletic wing who is a playmaker for sure. He is tough on the inside, and he can get up for every rebound. He’s smooth with the ball in his hands, and he can really dominate around the rim. If Razor can start knocking down shots at a more consistent clip, he is going to be a force to be reckoned with.
Jake Viehman – 5’10” SG – Lowell (Team GRIII White 2024)
Viehman is a smaller shooting guard who shot the ball lights out on Saturday to lead the way for Team GRIII White. He excels on the catch and shoot, and he also scored off the bounce in the mid-range. The big thing for Viehman was his hustle as it seemed like he was all over the floor, and it showed. Great performance from Viehman this weekend for sure!
