Awards Time: Unranked 2A All-state picks

<p>Prep Hoops is checking out the all-state teams to see if there are some players who went under our radar. Sure enough, a few players mentioned on all state teams have didn’t make our rankings, including a few seniors.</p> <p>Here’s a look at some unranked 2A all-state picks:</p> <p><strong>Dylan Cervantez</strong>, 5-foot-10 guard, 2023, Valley Falls – 1^st team 2A Sports in Kansas</p> <p>Cervantez has become a guy Prep Hoops is writing about a lot lately. He was a big reason for the Dragon’s run to the state semifinals, and was in the spotlight a lot late in the season. He was a playmaker on a team with several talented guards. Cervantez produced at both ends and hit the boards well for a guy his size.</p> <p><strong>Kieran Courter</strong>, 5-foot-11 guard, 2022, Atchison County – 2^nd team 2A Sports in Kansas</p> <p>Courter did a ton of damage at the defensive end, making 4 steals a game. He has good anticipation and a knack for intercepting passes. He’s athletic and creative, getting the ball to his teammates at a high rate. He dished out 3.5 assists per game.</p> <p><strong>Sean Hurst</strong>, 6-foot-4 forward, 2022, Yates Center – 2^nd team 2A Sports in Kansas</p> <p>The long, well-built multi-sport athlete was an imposing presence for a good Yates Center team. He averaged 16 points and 7 rebounds.</p> <p><strong>Derek Keith</strong>, 6-foot-3 forward, 2022, Hill City – 2^nd team 2A Sports in Kansas</p> <p>Keith and [player_tooltip player_id="1378399" first="Trent" last="Long"] were a dominant one-two punch that led Hill City to a really successful season. Keith was good for 17 points and 7 boards.</p> <p><strong>Cade Oliver</strong>, 6-foot-2 guard, 2022, Wabaunsee – 2^nd team 2A Sports in Kansas</p> <p>Wabaunsee was one of the best 2A teams in the state the last two seasons, and Oliver was a big part of that success. He was a versatile guard who played on the wing a lot, slashing into the lane with the ball or catching it for shots on the perimeter or in the paint.</p> <p><strong>Easton Renn</strong>, guard, 2023, Southeast – 2^nd team 2A Sports in Kansas</p> <p>Renn is a long guard who gets his hands on a lot of balls at the defensive end and knows how to push the tempo once the ball is in his hands. He Was a catalyst for a really good Southeast team last season.</p>
