In this series we will be highlighting the best players so far for the different AAU programs and teams within them. The 2024 class in Nebraska is loaded and we are diving into a Powerhouse Hoops Elite team, that is coached by Justice Brown, to cover his top performers.

In his sophomore campaign, Moore received an all city mention after scoring 13.0 points and averaging around 2 assists, rebounds and steal per game as well. Moore has continued to build on that during his spring averaging 19 points and 7 assists for Powerhouse Hoops. His ability to score from anywhere puts pressure on defenses and as he grows into a more physical guard, he will be able to create higher percentage shots for himself along with his teammates. Moore only scratched the surface of his potential during the fall and should become one of the most potent guards in the Omaha/Lincoln metros in the coming years.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253968" first="Kuet" last="Gatwech"] | Lincoln Northstar | Guard | 6’3" 160lbs

Gatwech had a solid high school season averaging 7.2 points and 3 rebounds per game. He is an excellent defender with his long arms and quick feet, however he has been showing out offensively averaging 17 points and 6 rebounds per game. His length and size can create matchup problems for guards around the state, on both sides of the ball. As his confidence grows on the offensive side, look for Gatwech to become a solid prospect in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id="1266004" first="Thomas" last="Alsup"] | Omaha Westside | Forward | 6’4" 190lbs

There is not a lot of film on Alsup, but from what I have seen this young man has a chance to be special. Alsup is lethal from range and can put the ball on the floor to get to the rim. He has a football background so he is not afraid to draw contact or get in the painted area to mix it up. For Powerhouse, he is averaging 18 points and 8 rebounds per game, putting his full offensive package on display. Alsup could be a real diamond in the rough heading into the summer and then make a name for himself this coming fall.

[player_tooltip player_id="1266005" first="Kendall" last="Hinton"] | Lincoln Southeast | Forward | 6’5" 218lbs

Hinton is looking like a hidden treasure as well. He had limited minutes for the Knights this past season, but his big frame has been imposing itself on opponents this spring. He is currently averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds per game for Powerhouse. Hinton plays Defensive End and Tight End positions on the football field and the physicality he brings on the basketball court is hard to match. His post game is strong but his footwork could be what propels his offensive package in the post as he develops. Hinton could burst on the scene this summer and fall after a strong spring. He and Moore could make a dynamic duo for the Knights in the 2022-2023 season.
