The 2022 class got a little bit smaller over the weekend as Dwight-Englewood’s [player_tooltip player_id="901956" first="David" last="Mager"] committed to Pepperdine. The available talent in Bergen County is still there and has the potential to make an impact at the next level. Here are the top available 2022 prospects in Bergen County.

[player_tooltip player_id="1147088" first="Shawn" last="Reckley"], 6’3 SG Hackensack

Reckley is the top available player in Bergen County with Mager’s commitment after a huge senior season for the Comets. The 6’3 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and is capable of shooting it either off the catch or dribble. Reckley is more than just a shooter as he is also capable of blowing by his defender and finishing around the basket. He is an underrated passer and has the length to defend both backcourt spots. Reckley is a sharpshooting guard whose ability to score points in bunches will help him in a big way.

[player_tooltip player_id="901993" first="Isaiah" last="Edmond"], 6’2 CG Don Bosco Prep

Edmond is a prospect to watch as he can impact the game in a variety of ways. The 6’2 guard has a strong frame which he uses to muscle shots through contact and draw fouls. Edmond has a nice handle and does not force many shots in the half court. He is a physical defender and is unafraid of diving on the floor. Edmond is a gritty, two-way guard who does the little things to help his team win games.

[player_tooltip player_id="901960" first="Elijah" last="Flournoy"], 6’3 SG Bergen Catholic

Flournoy has been a glue guy for the Crusaders during his varsity career, which should carry over to the next level. The 6’3 guard attacks the glass on both ends of the floor and has the athleticism to defend multiple positions. Flournoy moves well off the ball, setting himself up for open layups and jumpers. He is a solid finisher around the basket and has an underrated handle. Flournoy’s ability to do the little things on both ends of the court is something that will help him get minutes in college.

[player_tooltip player_id="1039495" first="Ayjani" last="Rasbury"], 6’2 SG Dwight-Englewood

Rasbury teamed up with Mager in the Bulldogs’ backcourt, but his skillset is vastly different than the lefty Pepperdine-bound guard. The 6’2 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he does not mind drawing contact and is solid finisher around the rim. Rasbury does more than just slash as he can also score in the mid-range and facilitate the offense when he needs to. He is a tough on-ball defender as he moves his feet well and knows how to get deflections. Rasbury is a versatile guard whose ability to defend will help him big time.

[player_tooltip player_id="1016678" first="John" last="Celli"], 6’0 SG Tenafly

Celli is one of the top available shooters in the class as he can get hot from distance in a hurry. The 6’0 guard has a smooth shooting stroke as he wastes little motion and has a lighting quick release. Celli moves exceptionally well off the ball, setting himself up for open jumpers on the perimeter. The ball does not stick in his hands and is a solid finisher around the basket. Celli is a marksman from deep, which should help him see the floor at the next level.
