2022 Rankings Update: Stock Risers

<p>As with every prospect rankings update, there were some players that saw their names skyrocket up the list. Let’s look at a few of the stock Risers from the class of 2022’s recent rankings update. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="983500" first="Drew" last="Barrie"] (SG, Midland)</strong></p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Previous Ranking: 45</p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Updated Ranking: 27</p> <p>A rise in the rankings had been a long time coming. Barrie could (and should) have moved up sooner. He’s one of the steadiest and headiest guards in Michigan. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1130932" first="Daquan" last="Coleman"] (PG, Bendle)</strong></p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Previous Ranking: 67</p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Updated Ranking: 41</p> <p>Coleman could have moved up even more. I really believe that he can match up with almost any lead guard in the state. His epic rise up the rankings continued and I believe he might be the biggest steal in this class at the next level. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1067873" first="Derek" last="Bolton III"] (CG, Roseville)</strong></p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Previous Ranking: 111</p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Updated Ranking: 56</p> <p>Bolton III really refined his game and put it to good use. He’s an elite athlete with good hip movement and horizontal and vertical quickness. Bolton III can put up big offensive numbers. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1349407" first="Tyler" last="VanEtten"] (SG, Lenawee Christian)</strong></p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Previous Ranking: 165</p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Updated Ranking: 142</p> <p>VanEtten deserved his jump on the list of prospects. He’s a seasoned veteran that plays with a high basketball IQ. He has a nice jumper, but can also score in a variety of ways. VanEtten uses his positional strength wisely. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1067868" first="Kenoly" last="Jones"] (PG, Stevenson)</strong></p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Previous Ranking: 203</p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Updated Ranking: 148</p> <p>Jones is flat out an elite scorer. Honestly, this jump in the rankings might not even be enough. He’s an athletic and bouncy bucket getter that can create his own scoring opportunities. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1350325" first="Bryce" last="Radtka"] (PF, Belleville)</strong></p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Previous Ranking: 189</p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Updated Ranking: 153</p> <p>Radtka is a rare commodity for an up and coming post player. Usually their defense is ahead of the offense, but this athlete can get score from the paint. His play in the state playoffs was epic and proved that he deserved to move up. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1184020" first="Keontae" last="Richards"] (PG, Mona Shores)</strong></p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Previous Ranking: 190</p> <p>Prep Hoops Michigan Updated Ranking: 156</p> <p>Richards is a lightning quick guard that can beat his opponents to a spot. He’s always been a scorer at heart, but he’s been especially impressive as of late. </p>
