The NCAA tournament has narrowed its field to four remaining teams – the illustrious Final Four.

In recognition of that theme, Prep Hoops will announce a series of “Final Fours” this week.

This will be four players selected for their demonstration of a specific trait, regardless of school size and graduation class.

Here are Kansas’ Final Four Leaders (in alphabetical order):

[player_tooltip player_id="1195606" first="Brady" last="Deges"], 5-foot-8 guard, 2022, South Gray:

South Gray finished runners up the past two seasons with Deges at the point. He constantly has the ball in his hands, running the show and making things happen. Like the typical small-school stud, Deges is a leader in multiple sports. On the court, he exudes high energy and passion.

[player_tooltip player_id="952447" first="Carson" last="Kieffer"], 6-foot guard, 2022, Hays:

It’s a shame Hays couldn’t get to the big dance with Kieffer as the trigger man. He was a consummate leader both for the Indians, and for his club team, Western Kansas Elite. His summer coaches just couldn’t say enough about the selfless, team-oriented direction Kieffer provides. He was one of the top assist men among the big schools with nearly 6 per game. He played with vision, physicality and a calmness that gave his team confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id="1076403" first="Brett" last="Sarwinski"], 5-foot-10 guard, 2022, Galena:

You don’t have to look any further than the last game Sarwinski played to see what an intensely competitive guy he is. After leading his team to the state finals a year ago, he wasn’t about to see his career end without a fight. He scored 32 points in the heartbreaking loss to TMP in the first round of state. He has capably manned the leadership positions at Galena - a standout quarterback and point guard. Like so many sons of coaches, Sarwinski puts in the extra work, and does it the right way.

[player_tooltip player_id="1080181" first="Kellan" last="Simoneau"], 6-foot-1 guard, 2023, Rose Hill (pictured):

Simoneau is a guard who takes pride in involving his teammates. He averaged 19.7 points for his varsity team, but its evident that his first goal is to get teammates the ball in scoring position. On the club scene, he comes across as one of the most team-oriented, unselfish guards out there. For Rose Hill, Simoneau has blended his skills to fit in the system with other standout guards like [player_tooltip player_id="891925" first="Adriel" last="Smith"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1139928" first="Xander" last="Landrie"]. He demonstrates unselfishness and a whatever-is-needed attitude to his teammates.
