Best sophomores in Class AAA when it comes to the Southwest part of the state? Here are the names...

[player_tooltip player_id="1288760" first="Jackson" last="Baynard"] of Marshall (5’11 lead guard). Jackson is a solid, steady point guard that was really good for the Minnesota Rise last year and will be a key part of the Tigers the next two seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id="1284109" first="Colton" last="Benson"] of New Ulm (6’3 Forward). Strong, tough, maturing and has been a monster around the basket scoring 23 points a game. Just had 32 points against Marshall making sure that everybody knows that New Ulm is the leader in that league right now. Benson and [player_tooltip player_id="1284151" first="James" last="Osborne"] have taken this program and made it very tough.

[player_tooltip player_id="958784" first="Tate" last="Olson"] of St. Peter (5’11 Point Guard). Another Olson who is really good at St. Peter? Yep. Tate is a playmaker and the third leading scorer for St. Peter at just under ten points a game. Excellent creator. Olson and Josh Bosacker will make for a nice backcourt for the next two years as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="1284151" first="James" last="Osborne"] of New Ulm (6’2 guard). James is scoring 18 points a game and just led New Ulm to their first conference title in nearly 30 years. Osborne is one of the best players in the state that doesn’t grab monster headlines, but he’s doing what [player_tooltip player_id="958636" first="Alonzo" last="Dodd"] did for South St Paul, has drug the team out of the bottom doing everything.

Dominick Kamrath of New Ulm (Guard). Steady, dependable player for New Ulm. Kamrath represents the rest of the excellent sophomore group at New Ulm as the Eagles use several. It’s a team that is going to be good for some time to come.

Andrew Mulder of Worthington (6’4 Forward). Mulder has scored in double figures several times and between Mulder and 6’5 big Ben Schreiber the Trojans have a nice frontcourt going forward.

[player_tooltip player_id="1355507" first="Carson" last="Schweim"] of Mankato East (6’3 wing). A reserve for the Cougars that scores a couple times a night and is likely to be a big piece of moving this team in to the next few years along with [player_tooltip player_id="1221142" first="Jalen" last="Hayes"] and Brogan Madson.
