Semi-State Top Performers

<p>The state finals are now set for the 112th annual IHSAA Boy’s Basketball State Tournament. We have whittled our way down to just eight remaining over the course of the last few weeks and now are ready to cut down the nets at Gainbridge Fieldhouse next Saturday. Here the top performers from the Semi-State round.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="870267" first="Clark" last="Barrett"] (Lafayette Central Catholic 2022): Excellent showing for the versatile senior wing scoring 14 points and pulling down 15 rebounds to advance Lafayette Central Catholic to the state finals.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="870232" first="Caedmon" last="Bontrager"] (Leo H.S. 2022): Despite the loss, the future Indiana Wesleyan forward put up 26 points to go along with 10 rebounds to finish his high school career.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="769703" first="Richard" last="Brooks"] (Mishawaka Marian H.S. 2022): One of the better uncommitted seniors in the state, Brooks score 29 points to advance the Knights to Saturday’s state championship game.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="769682" first="Connor" last="Essegian"] (Central Noble H.S. 2022): A Wisconsin signee, Essegian went for 25 points and 10 rebounds as Central Noble advanced to take on Providence at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="870243" first="Travis" last="Grayson"] (Chesterton H.S. 2022): The undefeated season rolls on for this senior guard with 27 points against Kokomo. Grayson and the Trojans will face Cathedral for the Class 4A state championship next week.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="870312" first="Randy" last="Kelley"] (Sullivan H.S. 2022): A historic run of postseason buzzer-beaters came to an end for Sullivan High School star [player_tooltip player_id="870312" first="Randy" last="Kelley"]. He still had 24 points in the Golden Arrows lost to Beech Grove.</p> <p>Clark Obermiller (Lafayette Central Catholic ): A 6’6" senior forward, Obermiller went off for 23 points and 22 rebounds as LCC advanced to the Class 1A state championship. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1049162" first="Deaglan" last="Sullivan"] (Mishawaka Marian H.S. 2023): The Mishawka Marian Knights will play for the Class 3A state title next week thanks to continued strong backcourt play. Sullivan, a junior guard, scored 24 points in their Semi-State win.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="868252" first="Jaron" last="Tibbs"] (Cathedral H.S. 2023): In a balanced scoring affair, Tibbs led the Fighting Irish with 15 points as they advance to take on undefeated Chesterton in the Class 4A state championship.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="868220" first="Ashton" last="Williamson"] (Gary 21st Century 2023): The Cougars got beat by Lafayette Central Catholic, but Williamson put up his normal crazy stat line of 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists.</p>
