Best Performance of the Day
Rodmik Allen Rodmik Allen 5'10" | PG New Hanover | 2025 State NC – WBC – New Hanover HS (Wilmington)
Allen played a great deal of minutes this past season for the black and orange. Rodmik is smooth on the floor with the ball in his hands and ability to create for himself and others. He got to the cup easy and while finishing with both hands and even through contact. Allen plays well beyond his years on the floor. Rodmik is very crafty with the ball in his hands and while doing a great job of changing speeds to get by defenders in the open court.
Speaking of WBC based out of Wilmington, NC. Zeus Batts Zeus Batts 5'10" | PG New Hanover | 2025 State NC and Kellum Brown will be a few names to monitor down the road. Batts played on the varsity squad at New Hanover HS. Batts contributed some timely assists and activity in the passing lanes today for WBC.
Brown (2026) attends Trask M.S. and informed Prep Hoops that he will attending New Hanover HS come this fall. Brown a catch-shoot guy was able to connect on some three pointers with his quick shot release from the corners today.
Horry Select Holds On
TJ Stanley and John Simmons John Simmons 6'3" | SF Myrtle Beach | 2025 State SC provided a solid 1-2 punch for the local team yesterday in an opening round win for Head Coach Alvin Green. Stanley was able to play on contact while bullying around the paint all day long on his way to scoring 14 points.
Simmons a future Wide Receiver at the college level was able to muster 13 points in the win. Simmons has really filled out since last season and just think he will only be a sophomore next fall. He already has a great frame and size for his age.
