They have BIGS and rim protectors but what really impresses me is their athleticism and lanky wings. PHenom is not just big and athletic they are very skilled. Most of the teammates have played together in the past, so there is no question of how they will gel together. Phenom is also playing a top-notch schedule. They are hitting up some premier events and they will be tested at a high level. Expect college coaches from coast to coast to get their eyes on these ballers. All they have to do now is show up and show out! ND Phenom will be one of the best in the Midwest in the 17U division. Read below to see who is on the squad and check out the schedule.
PHENOM ROSTER
All players are currently juniors
Jaxon Kellogg Jaxon Kellogg 6'3" | PG Bismarck Legacy | 2023 State ND |6-3 G| Bismarck Legacy
He will be the PG for this squad. Jaxon will be great at creating for others, penetrating gaps, and playmaking in the open court. He will be a great perimeter defender with his toughness and strength. Kellogg will be a standout rebounder as a point guard. Expect him to do the little things that will help his team win.
Darik Dissette Darik Dissette 6'4" | SG Minot | 2023 State #300 Nation ND |6-4 G| Minot
Everyone knew he was good, after this high school season, we all know that this kid is great. Dissette is coming off State Championship and a State Tourney MVP. Darik is a special athlete and a big-game performer. He is an elite defender with grit, length, and explosiveness. On offense, Darik is a phenomenal cutter and slasher. Expect his stock to keep blowing up.
Anthony Doppler Anthony Doppler 6'4" | SG Bismarck Century | 2023 State ND |6-4 G| Bismarck Century
He is a DUDE, no question about it. Anthony is a big & strong guard that can play multiple positions. Doppler has handles like a PG, strength like a forward, and the precision shooting of a SG. Anthony knows how to step up in big moments and drill timely shots. His three-point shooting and pull-up game will be sure to impress you. Expect him to be a tough defender and a reliable rebounder.
Tate Grossman Tate Grossman 6'4" | SG Harvey/Wells County | 2023 State ND |6-4 G| Harvey/Wells County
He is another long-wing player. Grossman can play the “1” and he can run wild on the wing as a 2 or 3. Tate has sweet handles and he drops dimes. He will be great at attacking from the wing, running the floor, and at making plays in up-tempo situations. Grossman is a high-flyer and a wildly impressive dunker. If you have not seen him play, this kid will open your eyes.
William Ware William Ware 6'7" | SF Bismarck Century | 2023 State ND |6-7 SF| Bismarck Century
He will be a Swiss-Army knife for this team. Ware is tall, has long arms, and is a bouncy athlete. He is no stranger to dunking on people, but he will also do many things that do not show up on the stat sheet. Ware is a special athlete that will be able to match up with guards on the wing and also bang down low with posts.
Carson Yale Carson Yale 6'9" | PF Des Lacs Burlington | 2023 State ND |6-9 F| Des Lacs Burlington
This kid is long, intriguingly athletic, and he can put up points. Yale moves his feet very well on defense, few kids with his height move this way. Carson can also run like the wind. Let’s not forget about his vertical, this kid is bouncy. Expect him to stand out this AAU season as a shooter. Yale can pour them in from beyond the arc.
Ryan Erikson Ryan Erikson 6'10" | C Bismarck Century | 2023 State ND |6-10 PF| Bismarck Century
He has moves on the block like an old-school post. However, he has an advanced game because Ryan has handles, is a crafty passer, and can stretch the floor by knocking down triples. The way that he passes out of the post is beyond impressive. Ryan is also a physical rebounder. Expect Erikson’s stock to continue to rise as the AAU season progresses.
Bryer Kaczynski Bryer Kaczynski 7'0" | C Wyndmere/Lidgerwood | 2023 State ND |7-0 C| Wyndmere/Lidgerood
The first thing you will notice is his 7-foot height and his extreme wingspan (7’2). Bryer will be a rim protector and a shot-blocker. He will also grab a good amount of rebounds. Kaczynski will score and dunk off of dump-downs, dishes, and putbacks. He will be a great complimentary piece for this group. His unselfishness is noteworthy. Look out for the 7-foot tower from Lidgerwood!
