The District semifinals are here and there are some tremendous games on tap. Let’s look at 1 must see semifinal game from each Division.

DIVISION 1

THE DETAILS

District 26 at Royal Oak

3/9 at 7PM

THE TEAMS

UD Jesuit: 14-5

Detroit Renaissance: 14-7

KEY PLAYERS

[player_tooltip player_id="985657" first="Sonny" last="Wilson"] (2023, PG, UD Jesuit)

Wilson is one of the most electric lead guards in the state and well beyond that. He can push the pace with both the dribble and the pass and is always looking up the court for teammates in transition. Wilson can control the tempo and he will always put his stamp on the game.

Jayden Savoury (2025, G/F, Detroit Renaissance) and Lance Stone (2025, Detroit Renaissance)

I couldn’t pick just 1 because. The elite freshman duo has what it takes to put on a show and pull the upset. Stone is smooth with his handles and can put a pass in the smallest of spaces. Savoury has an elite combination of size, strength, and ball skills. If these 2 start grooving, this game could be special.

DIVISION 2

THE DETAILS

District 44 at Wyoming Kelloggsville

3/9 at 7PM

THE TEAMS

Grand Rapids Christian: 16-4

Wyoming Godwin Heights: 10-8

KEY PLAYERS

[player_tooltip player_id="1223513" first="Jaylen" last="Ouwinga"] (2024, C, Grand Rapids Christian)

Ouwinga is an ever improving post player. He’s becoming more athletic and developing post movement. Godwin Heights’ strength lies in it’s guard play so having a solid post threat could be a key factor in this game.

[player_tooltip player_id="902884" first="Jakhary" last="Towns"] (2023, SG, Godwin Heights)

Towns is an elite player with one of the best mid range games that I’ve seen in the state. He’s a slick off guard that can manufacture looks at the rim. Godwin Heights will need a big scoring output from Towns.

DIVISION 3

THE DETAILS

District 67 at Harbor Springs

3/9 at 6PM

THE TEAMS

Charlevoix: 12-9

East Jordan: 12-8

KEY PLAYERS

[player_tooltip player_id="1068123" first="Evan" last="Solomon"] (2022, PG, Charlevoix)

Solomon is a very interesting prospect with a nice upside. He keeps his head on a swivel, sees the floor, and gets the ball to it’s spot in an efficient manner.

[player_tooltip player_id="1300937" first="Mason" last="Malpass"] (2022, SG, East Jordan)

Malpass can score at multiple levels and can play a physical brand of basketball. He was a big part of a victory over Charlevoix earlier in the season.

DIVISION 4

THE DETAILS

District 116 at Three Oaks River Valley

3/9 at 5:30PM

THE TEAMS

New Buffalo: 19-1

Three Oaks River Valley: 16-5

KEY PLAYERS

Jeremiah Mitchell (2022, CG, New Buffalo)

Mitchell was huge with 26 points and 10 rebounds in an early January victory over River Valley. If he can dominate like that offensively, plus share the ball effectively, New Buffalo will advance.

Sean Driscoll (2025, PG, Three Oaks River Valley)

Driscoll is a talented young guard and definitely a prospect to keep an eye on. He has the potential to have a game changing performance in the semifinals.
