The Las Vegas Unsigned Senior Camp took place Sunday, March 20th. The 1-day camp featured skills training, positional breakdown instructions, and 5 on 5 competition. The event was held at the Tarkanian Basketball Academy located at 2730 S Rancho Dr. All games from the camp were live-streamed and the recorded content can be found on the 7outz Network. This camp platform provides an opportunity for unknown players to get discovered, and the event features several prospects ready to take advantage of the opportunity. The camp featured over 40 prospects, all of who were watched and evaluated. In this article, a follow-up to Camp Evals Vol 1 we take a look at some evals from the camp.

[player_tooltip player_id="985612" first="Christian" last="Martin"] 6'2 SG Sierra Vista (#39)

Strengths: Playmaking, slashing ability

Weakness: 3pt Shooting

Scouts Eval: Martin has a good frame and a versatile skill set. He's good off the dribble and can get to the cup and finish. He has good vision and is willing to create for others. Martin has good form on his shot and is accurate from mid-range. He'll need to improve the range on his jumper. If he can become more accurate from behind the 3pt line, he should attract additional interest.

[player_tooltip player_id="1306000" first="Eddie" last="Moo-Young"] 6'4 SF Faith Lutheran (#102)

Strengths: Energy, Motor

Weakness: Positional size

Scouts Eval: EMY plays with a good motor, and is willing to stick his nose in for rebounds and loose balls. His best skill is his downhill ability. The wing is good in transition with the ability to finish or get fouled. For him, his ceiling will depend on overall perimeter offensive improvement, to give him a chance to transition down to the 2 versus the 3.

Javin Tindal 6'3 SF Liberty

Strengths: Off ball movement

Weakness: R&J athleticism

Scouts Take: Tindal caught my eye with his ability to play off the ball. The wing was good at cutting either organically or off post-entry passes. He showed some grab-and-go ability as well, starting the break after several defensive boards.

[player_tooltip player_id="1387253" first="Rah'Qeeb" last="Sheppard"] 6'0 CG Spring Valley (#121)

Strengths: On ball defense

Weakness: Offensive playmaking

Scouts Take: Shepard is a tough hard-nosed glue guy. His strength is his ability to defend both 1's and 2's. He has length and moves well laterally. Shepard was mostly a wing, however, he ran the point during the camp. He's going to have to increase his learning curve about the position, but he has decent size and plays extremely hard.

[player_tooltip player_id="859669" first="Declan" last="Sawin"] 6'0 SG Founders (#61)

Strengths: Offensive IQ, Unselfishness

Weakness: R&J athleticism

Scouts Take: Sawin was a 20 point per game scorer in high school, however, he played more of a facilitating role in the Camp. He spent time receiving and setting screens as well as setting up teammates. He has some shooting ability and will need to consistently show he can make open shots, to compensate for his below-the-rim game.

[player_tooltip player_id="859644" first="Dontrell" last="Johnson"] 6'5 SG Trinity (#10)

Strengths: Motor, Slashing ability

Weakness: Off the dribble playmaking

Scouts Take: Johnson didn't stay for the whole camp, but he left an impression during the time he did. As per usual, he competed with a high motor. He was at his best when he was playing downhill, and he showed off his quick second jump ability. Johnson is a good rebounder for his position and uses his offensive rebounding ability to increase his scoring potential.
