Today we will be taking a look at some of the freshman class who used this season to improve their game throughout and potentially make impacts on their varsity programs. These guys have a high ceiling and look forward to continuing evaluating them on their high school journey's.

Merak Greinert, 6'2 G/W, Olathe Northwest: The freshman guard was ready to roll once his name was called this season once star guard Dajani had gone down with an injury right at the tail end of the season. Greinert came on and showed off his confidence on the floor, ability to be a presence on the defense end as a perimeter guard against some really good competition. He can knock down the 3 ball, and has flashes of creating for himself off the bounce. Keep eyes on him.

Hector Gomez, 5'8 G, Macksville: Started off the season hot scoring the ball at a high clip, being regarded as a pure scorer in this class. Has good quickness, handle, and downhill attacking ability. Where he improved this season was his overall game, as teams tried to keep him from scoring he found other ways to impact the game; creating steals and deflections, rebounding it better as a 5'8 guard, and upping his assists. He could really elevate as he continues to round out the full point guard game.

Tayson Horak, 5'8 PG, Rossville: Thrown into the fire early in a tough season for Rossville, Horak showed improvement throughout the year and started piecing together some solid performances against good teams on the schedule. Horak can knockdown open shots from the perimeter and with more opportunities his three point production should soar after hitting 18 on the year at a 50% clip. Horak fits the mold of his Rossville backcourt mates as he is tough, scrappy, and does not mind defending or rebounding.

Josh Kim, 6'2 PG, Anodver: A name to watch, especially this grassroots season. Kim flashed his ability on the varsity scene behind a loaded Andover back court, but had some good moments and killed it with his opportunities. He has a load of talent, savviness with the ball, very poised on the court, can create shots, and is a gifted distributer of the basketball. Showed big time growth this season overall on the basketball court.

Aven M'Boule, 5'10 PG, Wichita South: M'Boule became an absolute animal in the backcourt this season as the year went on, as the confidence and game minutes grew, so did his production and tape showing off the wide variety of point guard skills he has. Crafty off the bounce and can get downhill, is tough in transition to keep out of the paint or for getting guys layups, is highly active on the defensive end, and can be a good perimeter shooter. His last 5 games to close out the year were prime time performances and show he is poised for a big grassroots season.

Coley Burgess, 6' G, Rock Creek: Once he earned the opportunity to get after it with Varsity this season, Burgess helped spark a late season Rock Creek run. He has really long arms which allows him to be a versatile defender and perimeter guard who can be an efficient cutter, shooter, and passer. Played with some vet savvy late in the year and was a go to guard for them in games.
