<p>The state tournament is heating up as Monday starts the sectional finals. Egg Harbor and Lenape played a tightly contested game until the Indians were finally able to pull away for the 66-52 victory. Several players stood out, creating an exciting game and great atmosphere. Here are the top standout performers from the South Jersey Group 4 semifinal game between Egg Harbor and Lenape.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="901968" first="Aidan" last="Anderson"], 6’3 SG Lenape 2022</strong></p>
<p>Anderson was close to unstoppable for Lenape as Egg Harbor had no answer for him all night. The 6’3 lefty was able to get into the lane early and finish, either off the dribble or cutting. Anderson shot the ball with confidence on the perimeter and did not force shots in the half court. He ran the floor hard in transition and was constantly moving off the ball. Anderson is a tough guard prospect who is looking to have a big game in the sectional final against Cherry Hill East.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1033441" first="Carlos" last="Lopez"], 6’2 PG Egg Harbor 2022</strong></p>
<p>Lopez was entertaining in the opening half as he got the offense going for the Eagles. The 6’2 lefty was crafty with the ball in his hands as he was able to use his handle to get separation from his defender. Lopez has a nice release on his jumper and was unafraid to pull up from behind the arc. He was able to get into the lane consistently and got deflections on the defensive end. Lopez is a quick floor general who had a big senior season for Egg Harbor.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="933727" first="Tayvon" last="Gaither"], 6’3 SG Lenape 2022</strong></p>
<p>Gaither had a big game for Lenape as he did a little bit of everything. The 6’3 guard was tough to keep off the offensive glass as he gave his team second possessions throughout the night. Gaither finished nicely around the basket and moved well off the ball to create open shots for himself. He was unafraid of giving up his body as he took multiple charges. Gaither is a gritty guard prospect who does whatever it takes to help his team win.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1396267" first="Anthony" last="Colon"], 6’5 SF Egg Harbor 2022</strong></p>
<p>Colon was key for the Eagles as he provided them with a presence in the interior. The 6’5 lefty used his length to alter shots around the basket and fought for rebounds at both ends of the floor. Colon attacked the basket hard as he finished around the rim and was able to draw contact. He made good decisions with the ball in his hands and played with confidence throughout the game. Colon is a lanky forward prospect who affects the game in multiple ways for Egg Harbor.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="850667" first="Derek" last="Simpson"], 6’2 PG Lenape 2022</strong></p>
<p>Simpson ran the show for Lenape as he got everyone involved in the offense. The Rutgers signee controlled the pace of the game and was unfazed by Egg Harbor’s press. Simpson rose up for a couple of big-time jams and was unafraid of drawing contact on his way to the basket. He used his quick hands to get steals on defense and made good decisions with the ball in his hands. Simpson is a talented lead guard prospect who is looking to have a huge sectional final against Cherry Hill East.</p>
