Nebraska high school basketball has frequently appeared on the national level in the last decade. Earning "The Good Life" state a respected spot in the basketball industry. Even the players that don’t have high ratings probably should. This article will outline some of the student-athletes that you should know more about and consider recruiting if you are a coach.

[player_tooltip player_id="890580" first="Daniel" last="Brocaille"] Papillion-South Titans

Daniel shows up to play stellar every game. He’s a reliable guard you can count on on both ends of the floor in all aspects of the game. Great teammate equipped with excellent leadership skills. Currently committed to Morningside (NAIA). I truly feel that Brocaille should be at the Division 1 level, at least Division 2. He dominated against every team this year despite winning or losing. I’m always super impressed with how hard he plays. Brocaille is currently ranked the 7th best in the state of Nebraska. All six of the players ranked above him are going Division 1. When he has played against the players ranked above him, he usually comes out on top stat-wise! Coaches if you’re looking for a player who has talent and a killer work ethic, Daniel will not let you down.

[player_tooltip player_id="1018812" first="David" last="Harmon"] Millard North Mustangs

David has played very well for the raining state champions. He has done an amazing job filling in the shoes of (Ex-Mustang) Gonzaga’s Hunter Sallis. He’s super athletic, he can shoot, plays tough defense, and has solid ball-handling. With him starting at guard the Mustangs are currently 21-2, the same record they had last year going into the state playoffs. That’s huge! I look for David to start getting more offers as the season comes to an end, especially if coaches are smart and realize Harmon has been groomed for big-time play. If rankings were to be re-evaluated, he would definitely be in the top 10 and not 22.

[player_tooltip player_id="890579" first="Luke" last="Lindenmeyer"] Papillion-Lavista Monarchs

Luke is a Nebraska Cornhusker football commit that also excels on the basketball court. He is a very physical small forward/guard that has the ability to be effective against any level of competition. Lidenmeyer is averaging 16 points per game this season and is capable of scoring the basketball from long-range or down lown in the post. He plays within the flow of the offense and has great court vision. He finds wide-open teammates for set shots or slashing to the basket. Luke has amazing hands and catches passes in stride for smooth finishes. Lidenmeyer has a solid body frame which makes it extremely tough for opposing players to score on him. He could definitely help the Huskers get back on track on the basketball court too.

[player_tooltip player_id="1152113" first="Jacob" last="Martin"] Omaha South Packers

Currently ranked the 24th player in the state. If you ask around the community, you would find out that most believe he is a top 7 player. He has an incredible euro-step that allows him to get by bigger defenders on a fastbreak. Martin has a nice range on his jump-shot and is the type of player that gets hot and stays hot. He has a nice set of ball-handling skills that allows him to blow by the defenders. I really believe he’ll be one of the most talented guards in 2022-23. When watching him on defense you can sense he is genuine about giving 100% effort on the defensive end. Jacob is focused on his academics and also his strength and conditioning (wants to add 8-10 pounds of muscles) in the off-season to prepare for senior year/college.

[player_tooltip player_id="981700" first="Jared" last="Bohrer"] Pius X

Jared is a 6’1" true point guard! He sets an amazing tone for his team to get busy! Bohrer has solid ball handling, a silky jump shot, and the heart of a lion. You can tell his teammates love playing with him because they swing the ball around the perimeter quickly and it’s easy to see that they feel like they will get the ball back. The offense is run amazingly well with Jared at the point. He has a long and midrange jump shot too. On defense, he plays tough and rotates well. If Jared is on your team, get ready to rock and roll!
