Who were the best TSSAA Tournament Players from ALL CLASSES combined together?

Read about players that played exceptionally. Our state is loaded with great guards, but this team must resemble a team: Guard, Guard, Guard/Wing, Wing, Forward.

State Champion. Nobody owns better court vision and offensive awareness. Beyond his startling ability to create dangerous situations, Jones is jet-quick and disruptive on defense. He causes multiple turnovers every game. In his Tournament MVP performance, Jones recorded 20 points with five rebounds, seven assists, and three steals.

Overall State Ranking: 12

State Champion. Is JaKobi the best point guard in the state? Maybe. Brian Edwards and [player_tooltip player_id="996878" first="Chandler" last="Jackson"] played great in their state tournaments, but who was better than Gillespie in the last two years, no matter the level, no matter the competition? Gillespie earned two Mr. Basketballs, two State Championships, two Tournament MVP's, and his team won 62 of their last 74 basketball games. Belmont signed him and they absolutely snuck him into that wonderful program. IF he did not sign early, then he would have attracted SEC and ACC basketball offers with his sparkling play all season and tournament long.

PG [player_tooltip player_id="787683" first="Taylor" last="Groves"], East Robertson
Final Game Stats: 24p, 8r, 5a
Overall State Ranking: 33

State Champion.

Be warned: Taylor was the 14th best prospect in the state prior to choosing football, when he essentially became an "unrecruitable" basketball player for colleges. [player_tooltip player_id="787683" first="Taylor" last="Groves"] is a guy that breaks my heart. From the moment it became clear that Groves was by choice a college football player and not a college basketball prospect, the emotional pain was sharp. Unending. In the Class 1A State Championship [player_tooltip player_id="787683" first="Taylor" last="Groves"] was the best player on the court. By far. He rebounded at an elite level, he broke traps and pressure with ease. Groves set up his teammates. Groves was magnificent and earned Tournament MVP. "He is special," said Coach Kurt Caton. "He makes everybody else better. He has since he was in Sixth Grade.

F [player_tooltip player_id="1201721" first="Jack" last="Browder"], Dobyns-Bennett,
Final Game Stats: 30p, 13r
Overall State Ranking: 124

State Champion. Sometimes, we whiff on a ranking. Jack played fantastic wire-to-wire during his senior year. The rebounding and outside shooting set him apart from his peers.

F [player_tooltip player_id="1410768" first="Elijah" last="Groves"]
Final Game Stats: 18p, 9r, 4a
Overall State Ranking: NA

State Champion.

Elijah is the youngest player to make All-Glass House First Team. The sophomore dominated in both the semifinal and State Championship. Groves in SF: 8p, 9r, 4a, 3s, 3b. Good athleticism and nice size at the wing spot.
