Some exciting players displayed their talents during the Final Four, the biggest stage of the year; here are a few…
Myles Murphy (6’3/Combo Guard/2022)
School: McGill-Toolen

Twitter: @MylesMurphy18
Myles had a good showing during the Final Four. He shot the ball well from the field, but he did struggle from behind the arc. He was aggressive when looking for his scoring opportunities, and he took advantage when they came. He was active on the glass and had a couple putbacks off the offensive glass. He brought a lot of energy when he was on the court, and without his second-half production, there was no way McGill could have been in position to win the game. Unfortunately for Myles and his crew, they came up short in an exciting game against Huffman. Myles stat line was as follows:
Semifinals:
17pts (7-16; 44% from the field) (2-7; 29% from three); 7-rebounds
Garrison Sharpe (6’1/Combo Guard/2023)
School: Cullman HS
Instagram: N/A
Twitter: @GarrisonSharpe
Garrison paced Cullman during the semifinal game in front of a huge fan base that turned out to cheer Cullman on. Garrison played with an edge against Park Crossing, and you could tell that he was going to do whatever it took to get his team to the championship game.
He is a skilled scoring guard with a high IQ that made winning plays after winning plays.
He shot the ball well throughout the semifinal game and was the consistent source of production for Cullman. Cullman pulled out the victory over a tough and talented Huffman squad in the finals. Garrison struggled offensively, but his presence and facilitating were critical for his team, who used a balanced attack to take down the Vikings. His stat line for the Final Four was as follows:
Semifinals: 20pts
Finals:
7pts (1-7; 14% from the field)
Christopher Blount (6’1/Combo Guard/2022)
School: Huffman HS

Twitter: @CJBlount2022
No one had a more impactful Final Four in the 6A classification like Chris. He was absolutely fantastic in the semifinal game showing off his complete scoring arsenal. He got it done at all levels and was very efficient from the field. He definitely took advantage of the stage by averaging 23pts in both games. His stock improved, and coaches looking for a combo guard that can score but, more importantly, has the heart to win and do whatever it takes to win; they do not have to look any further than Chris. He is currently our #24-ranked player in the 2022 class, but that might change after his performance when we put out our final 2022 rankings.
Even after experiencing a leg injury, he came back into the game and tried to will his team on to victory.
Our next College Coaches Report will discuss an update on his recruiting. His stats for the Final Four was as follows:
Semifinals:
25pts (8-17; 47% from the field) (5-12; 42% from three); 8-rebounds
Finals:
21pts (8-21; 38% from the field) (5-14; 36% from three); 6-rebounds
School: Park Crossing

It had been a minute since the last time I laid eyes on Aaron, but he did not disappoint with his performance at the Final Four. He showed his athleticism with several eye-opening finishes in the paint at the rim. He rebounded well and impacted the game on the defensive end of the floor. Unfortunately, I did not save the semifinal game stat sheet, but he passed the eye test in all categories. He led his team in a highly contested battle, but they simply ran into a team playing some of the best basketball in the state regardless of classification. Stats:
Semifinals: 16pts
Tucker Cagle (6’3/Combo Guard/2023)
School: Cullman HS
Instagram: tucker_cagle
Twitter: @Tuckercagl2
Tucker was a hardcover for both Park Crossing and Huffman defenders. He was extremely tough to guard off the bounce. He attacked the paint with purpose looking to create for himself and others. He showed his ability to make on-time and on-target passes and showed his excellent court vision in the process.
He finished well when he got in the paint and at the rim.
He led his squad in scoring in the championship game and made some huge timely shots. His stat line for the Final Four was as follows:
Semifinals: N/A
Finals:
12pts (5-11; 45% from the field); 6-rebounds
