5A Playoff Matchups

<p>The 5A playoffs are down to 4 teams and we will have some interesting matchups as a few players go head to head. The 5A. and 6A playoffs have been similar in the sense that a lot of the top teams have been ousted due to some solid play by their counterparts. </p> <p><strong>Olympus vs. Bonneville</strong></p> <p>Olympus played a tough schedule and it shows as they keep plowing through their opponents. Bonneville seems to have something up their sleeve as they pulled out a huge win.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Key Players</span></p> <p><strong>6’9 C [player_tooltip player_id="934490" first="Jack" last="Wistrcill"] || Olympus ||</strong></p> <p>Jack is not a player that can be played 1 on 1 but then you bring help and its Dutch or Jordy and it’s trouble because they will light you up from deep. Jack is so dominant with his back to the basket and teams cannot keep him out of the paint. He is stepping out and hitting three-pointers. Look for Jack to be the key, if they find a way to slow him down and he makes the right reads Olympus will have a huge game from their guards. </p> <p><strong>5’7 [player_tooltip player_id="1206997" first="Bo" last="Dixon"] &amp; 5’11 [player_tooltip player_id="1191443" first="Koy" last="Dixon"] || Bonneville High School ||</strong></p> <p>These boys need to be on and get loose from the other tough guards that Olympus has because if they get loose they have a shot at making some of those tough three-pointers they get to fall. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Wild Card Players</span></p> <p><strong>6’3 [player_tooltip player_id="968058" first="Carson" last="Jones"] || Bonneville ||</strong></p> <p>He plays all over the floor, not sure how he is going to get going but he is going to need to figure it out. </p> <p><strong>6’5 Anthony Olsen || Olympus ||</strong></p> <p>Such an underrated basketball player with size strength and attitude. He is the tough kid on the floor that bruises opponents. </p> <p><strong>Woods Cross vs. Murray</strong></p> <p>Murray has been building this group of players for sometime now and they are playing well and they have so much balance across the board even though they have one player lighting it up. The matchup between [player_tooltip player_id="934036" first="Chudi" last="Anosike"] and [player_tooltip player_id="934027" first="Mason" last="Bendinger"] could be a blockbuster event. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Key Players</span></p> <p><strong>6’5 G [player_tooltip player_id="934036" first="Chudi" last="Anosike"] || Murray High School ||</strong></p> <p>Chudi has been lights out nd with a lot of role players on the squad it is hard to just key on him. Attacking the rim and creating space is his calling card. Chudi has an opportunity to really increase his stock here. </p> <p><strong>6’3 G [player_tooltip player_id="934027" first="Mason" last="Bendinger"] || Woods Cross High School ||</strong></p> <p>Mason usually has a field day in the mid-post especially against smaller guards but with some size defensively tonight he is going ot reach into that deep bag and make some adjustments. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Wild Card Players</span></p> <p><strong>6’1 PG [player_tooltip player_id="969245" first="Jaxon" last="Smith"] || Woods Cross High School ||</strong></p> <p>Jaxon can do a little bit of everything but his range and savvy decision making will be on display and if he gets it going WX has a chance here. </p> <p><strong>5’11 PG [player_tooltip player_id="934037" first="Jaxson" last="Workman"] || Murray High School ||</strong></p> <p>Jaxon has a scoring punch that has been known to really change the game. He will likely get an opportunity with a lot of help going to different places on the floor. He hits a few big shots and it can open the game up completely. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
