The 2023 rankings update is finally here. With every update, prospects rise up the board in a big way and this most recent one is no exception. Here are the top stock risers from the 2023 rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id="1150283" first="Nick" last="Valentino"], 6’0 PG Red Bank Regional

Valentino took the biggest jump of any prospect on the list as he went up 71 spots. The 6’0 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane and finish around the basket. Valentino is capable of finishing through traffic and can make opponents pay for giving him space on the perimeter. He is a solid rebounder and an underrated passer. Valentino is a scoring guard prospect who had a breakout season for Red Bank Regional in 2021-22.

[player_tooltip player_id="1150273" first="Robert" last="Eaves"], 6’5 PF Hightstown

Eaves saw his stock rise in a big way as he moved up 63 spots in the rankings. The 6’5 forward has a physical frame, which he uses to get position down low on both ends of the floor. Eaves has a soft touch around the basket and plays with good footwork in the post. He rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor and his range extends out to the three-point line.

[player_tooltip player_id="1206544" first="Kevin" last="Burns"], 6’0 PG Point Pleasant Beach

Burns had a breakout campaign for the Garnet Gulls as he jumped 57 spots in the update. The 6’0 guard is a playmaker with the ball in his hands as he can finish around the basket and distribute to open players on the perimeter. Burns does not mind drawing contact and has a good release on his jumper. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and gets deflections on the defensive end. Burns had a pair of triple-doubles in 2021-22 and should have more to come in his senior season for Point Pleasant Beach.

[player_tooltip player_id="1269732" first="Kamal" last="Lee"], 6’0 PG St. Thomas Aquinas

Lee had a huge season for the Trojans, resulting in a 54-spot increase. The Roselle Catholic transfer is a pesky on-ball defender as he plays with quick hands and slides his feet very well. Lee has a good handle, which he uses to push the tempo in the open floor and beat his defender off the bounce. He has a nice release on his jumper and is capable of playing off the ball. Lee is a gritty, two-way guard who should continue to make plays for St. Thomas Aquinas next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1150532" first="Hazir" last="Lee"], 6’2 SG Newark Central

Lee had a big season for the Blue Devils as he jumped up 48 spots in the rankings. The 6’2 guard has a good handle and a quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender off the bounce. Lee is a solid finisher around the rim and has a good shooting stroke. He is an underrated passer and makes plays in multiple ways on the defensive end. Lee is set for a big senior season with Newark Central, where he will put on display his versatile skillset in 2022-23.
