<p>Wright’s Weekly Review is a review of the games PH has attended throughout the week. This weeks review features playoff games being played all throughout NorCal, February 21st through the 26th. On Monday Serra was at Mitty, Tuesday Bishop O’Dowd traveled to Clayton Valley Charter. Wednesday our travels took us to Sacred Heart Prep for a home game against Archbishop Riordan. Finally on Saturday PH took in the NCS Div III Title game, St. Patrick-St. Vincent hosted Branson. Here’s our take on the top players.</p>
<p><em><strong>Game 1: Archbishop Mitty 57, Junipero Serra 42. CCS Open Pool Play</strong></em></p>
<p>The top player for Mitty was 6’7 2023 Forward<em><strong> [player_tooltip player_id="950938" first="Derek" last="Sangster"]</strong></em> who scored 16pts, 5rebs. He made back to back 3pt shots. He’s starting to show his skill set. He was effective attacking from the high post and looking comfortable on the perimeter.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1113023" first="Garret" last="Keyhani"] 6’8 2022 SF/PF of Serra</strong></em>. The DIII commit played the game with his hand heavily wrapped, he still managed to score 16pts, grab 5rebs. He played good post defense with 4blks. He hit a 3ptr from the wings, and had several dribble drive spin moves to finish at the rim.</p>
<p><em><strong>Game2: Clayton Valley Charter 68, Bishop O’Dowd 58. NCS Div I Semifinal.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="766845" first="Jeremiah" last="Dargan"] 6’5 2022 G, of Clayton Valley Charter</strong></em> took charge in the second half after scoring just 6pts the first half. He scored 13pts in the 3rd to give CVC control of the game. He grabbed 7rebs, had 3blks, and 3stls. A versatile player with a consistent mid-range game. 19pts.</p>
<p><em><strong>Amos Hodgson 6’2 2023 SG of Bishop O’Dowd</strong></em>. This may have been his most productive game offensively. He had the scorers mentality working in his favor. His three 3’s in the first half, and 3 more in the second gave him six 3ptrs for the game to finish with 24pts.</p>
<p><em><strong>Game 3: Archbishop Riordan 60, Sacred Heart Prep 58, O.T. CCS Open Pool Play</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>King-njhsanni Wilhite 6’1 2023 G, of Archbishop Riordan.</strong> </em>He’ll get consideration for MVP in the WCAL. He’s been leading this team all season. He been a consistent scorer in different ways and against multiple defensive schemes coming at him, box-1, double teams. He scored 24pts, 5rebs, 4asts, 2stls.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1232319" first="Aidan" last="Braccia"] 6’1 2022 G, Sacred Heart Prep</strong> </em>is committed to Belmont a DI program that will play in the Missouri Valley Conference next year. He did his part leading his team with 26pts, he had seven 3ptrs, a couple while being closely guarded with a hand in his face and from deep range. His toughness and leadership was on display.</p>
<p><em><strong>Game 4: Branson 82, St. Patrick-St. Vincent 75. NCS Div III Title Game.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1253694" first="Nick" last="Medeiros"] 5’10 2022 G of St. Patrick-St. Vincent</strong></em>. He’s one of the top under 6’0 guard in this NorCal 2022 class. He repeatedly broke down defenders on his way to buckets, challenging bigs at the rim, having strong finishes, and consistently knocking down pull-up jumpers in the paint. He had 28pts.</p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="950892" first="George" last="Gale"] 6’7 2023 SF/F of Branson</strong></em>. He was the main man in the middle with a strong post game effort. His presence in the middle was a factor on both ends of the court. He scored 24pts, converting free throws late in the game, going up for strong finishes, and rebound put backs, 7rebs , 2blks.</p>
