Week 12’s Top Players of The Week!

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="1076675" first="Jakwon" last="Hill"]-</span> 6’0 Shooting Guard "Volcano Vista" Class of 2022</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076675" first="Jakwon" last="Hill"] score 19 points vs District rival Atrisco Heritage this past Monday February 7th. He made 3 three pointers and went 4/5 from the free throw line. Volcano Vista defeated Atrisco Heritage 51-38 on the road to improve to 22-0 this season and 6-0 in district. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="1076668" first="Sean" last="Johnson"]-</span> 6’6 Small Forward "Sandia" Class of 2022</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076668" first="Sean" last="Johnson"] scored a season high 36 points in Sandia’s 78-70 win vs district rival Eldorado High School this past Wednesday February 9th. He had his best performance of the season by far and made a pair of three pointers while also going 7/8 from the free throw line. Sandia is now 14-8 this season and 6-2 in district play. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Isaac Tapia-</span> Shooting Guard "Valley" Class of 2022</p> <p>Isaac Tapia had arguably his best game of the season vs Del Norte High School this past Thursday February 10th. He scored 26 points in the game and scored 15 of those in the second half. Isaac had a clutch "And One" basket and clutch free throws to help put the game away. Valley defeated Del Norte on the road 47-45. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="1076700" first="Exodus" last="Ayers"]-</span> 6’3 Guard "La Cueva" Class of 2023</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076700" first="Exodus" last="Ayers"] was the best player on the floor on the road vs Sandia High School this past Friday February 11th. He scored a team high 18 points and converted four "And One" shots around the rim. He also went a solid 8/10 from the free throw line to help La Cueva defeat Sandia 60-52. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="1076693" first="Joren" last="Mirabal"]-</span> 6’2 Shooting Guard "Magdalena" Class of 2022</p> <p>This past Monday February 7th, [player_tooltip player_id="1076693" first="Joren" last="Mirabal"] scored 22 points vs Hondo Valley. He shot 9/17 from the field, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 7 assists in a nice all around game. Magdalena defeated Hondo Valley 74-27. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Duda Jackson-</span> Forward "Socorro" Class of 2022</p> <p>Duda Jackson scored 34 points on 14/26 shooting from the field and shot 6/9 from three point range. He also had a double-double grabbing 15 rebounds in the game to help Socorro defeat Hot Springs 55-48. </p> <p><u>[player_tooltip player_id="1076669" first="Jalen" last="Goar"]-</u>  6’0 Guard "Hobbs" Class of 2022</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076669" first="Jalen" last="Goar"] led Hobbs to a 88-39 victory over Roswell this past Tuesday February 8th. Jalen scored 20 points on 13/21 shooting from the field, shot 6/10 from three point range and dished out 7 assists. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="1076695" first="Aaron" last="Mora"]-</span> 6’6 Center "Hobbs" Class of 2022</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076695" first="Aaron" last="Mora"] recorded a double-double in Hobbs 88-39 victory vs Roswell. He scored 30 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while shooting 14/21 from the field. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Carter Teune-</span> 5’8 Guard "Clovis Christian" Class of 2023</p> <p>Carter Teune led Clovis Christian to a 59-37 win vs Melrose this past Tuesday February 8th. Carter scored 23 points on 10/16 shooting from the field and shot 2/5 from three point range.  </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="1076692" first="Santiago" last="Rivas"]-</span> 5’9 Shooting Guard "Escalante" Class of 2022</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076692" first="Santiago" last="Rivas"] helped lead Escalante to a 97-94 Triple OT win vs Penasco Saturday February 12th. He scored 30 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, dished 6 assists and made a total of 7 three pointers. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="1208047" first="Nick" last="Sanchez"]-</span> 5’9 Shooting Guard "Artesia" Class of 2023</p> <p>Despite Artesia losing 57-55 to Lovington, [player_tooltip player_id="1208047" first="Nick" last="Sanchez"] had a great performance this past Friday February 11th. He scored a team high 28 points. </p> <p><u>[player_tooltip player_id="1300481" first="Gabe" last="Trujillo"]-</u> 6’4 Small Forward "La Cueva" Class of 2022</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1300481" first="Gabe" last="Trujillo"] scored 22 points on 10/11 shooting from the field and grabbed 6 rebounds. La Cueva defeated Piedra Vista 71-26 this past Tuesday February 8th. </p>
