He made plays inside the paint but also stepped outside and knocked down some shots from the perimeter.
Grays Creek HS Senior Guard Camonte Williams: The energy and defensive intensity that he brought was impressive. He constantly applied defensive pressure, forcing some rushed possessions and turnovers for his opponent.
Lumberton HS Senior Guard Angel Bowie: A versatile wing player that makes plays on the perimeter and inside the paint, he’s one of the players that will be key to their success. His ability to defend multiple positions will be highly beneficial during the state tournament as his team will most likely see some teams with size.
Cape Fear HS Senior Wing RJ McDonald RJ McDonald 6'1" | CG Cape Fear | 2022 State NC : He was solid from start to finish of their first-round matchup, scoring from multiple levels by using his athletic ability and an impressive midrange game. Although he makes a high impact on the offensive side of the floor, he brings a nice amount of effort on the defensive side of the ball as well.
Cape Fear HS Sophomore Wing Jeremiah Melvin Jeremiah Melvin 6'5" | SF Cape Fear High | 2024 State NC : In their first-round matchup with GCHS, he got off to a slower start but really turned it up in the second half to help his team build a lead. The skillset and upside that he has is very impressive and he was saw some flashes of what he can be in this matchup, he finished with 24 Points, 20 of those points came in the second half.
71st HS Junior Forward Jared Davis Jared Davis 6'5" | PF Seventy-First | 2023 State NC : Throughout the season, he’s been one of the most consistent players for their team, scoring and rebounding inside the paint at a high level. He led the way in their semi-final matchup with SV, scoring 20 Points and making a nice impact on both ends of the floor.
Southview HS Freshman Guard Antrell Gilmore: This season he got off to somewhat of a slower start but as the season went on and he adjusted to the varsity level competition, he began to put together some impressive performances. In the first round against GC, he had one of his better performances, scoring a team high of 14 Points which helped his team to advance to the semis.
71st HS Freshman Guard Deandre Nance: The freshman has played well throughout the season, and he plays the game with a confidence that you don’t normally see from a young player. He still has a ways to go but he is talented, plays with some toughness, and has made big plays for his team on numerous occasions.
