Standout Senior Prospects from 6A Texas Playoffs (Part 3/3)

He is a reliable shooter when given time to spot up, he loves acting as the trailer on the break to open up the three point line for himself. I liked watching him work through being uncomfortable and still working to get up efficient looks all around the court. His slashing ability and his threat to score on the interior makes him a dynamic playmaker from the outside. He has great body control, paired with a strong confidence in his touch around the basket makes him a truly deadly weapon when coming downhill. His size and athleticism makes him a special player in transition where he thrives.  It also helps him out tremendously on the defensive end of the floor, and he is not afraid to contest a shot at the rim screaming in from the back side. His size allows him to slide over and affect most shots at the rim. Dawson High School is set to take on Atascocita High School on March 1, after beating CE King and Clear Brook High Schools. </p> <p>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1nH5kxaEcA</p> <p><a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prephoops.com/player/luke-hatcher/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="1328094" first="Luke" last="Hatcher"]</span></a> 2022 6’5 Stratford High School</p> <p>Luke is an athletic shooting guard/ wing who thrives at scoring the ball from all three levels. He is a consistent shooter from beyond the arc, and can space the floor when given time to set his feet. He displayed a reliable pull up jumper in the midrange as well. His ability to turn the corner and attack the bucket was very impressive. His ability to move laterally is perfectly paired with his 6’5 frame and allows him to wreak havoc on both ends of the floor. He thrives at turning steals into instant offense by efficiently finishing on the break and at the rim. It was fun watching him take on high level ball handlers and poke the ball from them. His ability to cause turnovers jumpstarted his team on the offensive end of the floor and allowed his team to run and gun and get easy looks at the rim. </p> <p>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gy_ujiVZ1Pg</p> <p><a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prephoops.com/player/seth-jones/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="889587" first="Seth" last="Jones"]</span></a> 2022 Dickinson High School</p> <p>Seth is a freak athlete for the point guard position. He is great at using his quickness to get by defenders in the open court, and has a great handle to blow by defenders in the half court. He is a very patient player who is willing to play through his elite big men. I loved watching him dominate in the midrange, he was confident and wiling to take the shot after quickly turning the corner. It was fun watching his athleticism in warmups, you can tell he has springs attached to his feet. During the game he used it to sky for some athletic layups when he got downhill to attack the basket. Dickinson beat Pearland and Westbrook and is now set to face Alvin Shadow Creek on March 1. </p> <p>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oTUuu7X9TfQ</p> <p>Connor Miller 6’3 2022 Atascocita High School<br /> Connor is a sniper at the shooting guard position, who thrives off his ability to affect the game by getting open off the ball. His constant movement and his ability to always be ready to catch and shoot propelled his team to a shot at the championship. He is not only a shooter from beyond the arc however, he got to his shot in the midrange and attacked the basket hard. He is a dynamic scorer who loves getting to his shot off the bounce and creating looks for his team. I was most impressed with his ability to get his teammates involved as the defense began to focus on shutting down his shooting. Atascocita is set to take on Dawson High School after beating Deer Park and Clear Falls in dominant fashion.</p> <p>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5vy3paT-9Q</p>
