Below is a review of six players who transferred schools during the spring/summer 2021 off-season and had a major impact for their new program.

[player_tooltip player_id="1279647" first="Sultan" last="Adewale"] – 6’8” / Junior / Neumann-Goretti / Power Forward: Adewale is a native of the United Kingdom and came to Neumann-Goretti from St. Louis Christian Academy (MO). After a brief adjustment period to PCL action, this long and versatile forward’s recruiting stock took off. Adewale is a ridiculous athlete who glides on the court, can score the ball from the mid-range to the rim (61% on FGAs) and blocks shots. This season he averaged 11.6 ppg.; 6.3 rpg.; and 2 rejections per game. Recently Adewale posted an astonishing double-double vs. Archbishop Ryan -- 22 points and 12 rebounds (Plus 5 blocks.). He currently holds numerous DI offers. Villanova has also expressed serious interest.

[player_tooltip player_id="1285466" first="Christian" last="Bliss"] – 6’3” / Sophomore / George School / NY Rens / Combo Guard: Back in January, the former Archbishop Molloy (NYC) scoring point guard busted out on the Pennsylvania hoops scene by recording games of 22, 30 and 29 points. Bliss (20 ppg. & 5.5 rpg.) is an especially entertaining player to watch. He is adept at using his filthy dribbling skills to navigate his way through traffic for a hoop. He also possesses enough physicality that he can muscle past defenders. Bliss is a solid 3-point shooter as well. Recently, Bliss notched 26 points (15 in 4th Q) against Friends Central and 26 points vs. an extremely talented Academy of the New Church team. As a bonus to his scoring, Bliss possesses remarkable penetrate and kick / penetrate and drop off skills (4.7 apg.). At the other end, Bliss is a tenacious on-ball defender (2.5 spg.).

[player_tooltip player_id="1200762" first="Camden" last="Burns"] – 5’11” / Sophomore / Springside CHA / NJ Scholars Elite / Combo Guard: Burns made his bones as a mid-range scoring machine for Martin Luther King HS in Philly’s Public League. His patented dribble-drive (with either hand), stop on a dime and then knock down a jumper move is unstoppable. Still, this season at SCHA Burns has proven to be a more complete player than expected. He has become a knock-down shooter from behind the arc and is an underrated playmaker. This season he is averaging 14 points as well as 4 dimes per game and registered a season high 21 points vs. Malvern Prep. Burns has posted such a fantastic all-around season that he is a legitimate Inter-AC POY candidate.

[player_tooltip player_id="991202" first="Justin" last="Moore"] – 6’1” / Senior / Archbishop Wood / K-Low Elite / Point Guard: Last off-season Moore (formerly of the defunct Bishop McDevitt) was the most sought-after transfer in Pennsylvania. So, it should come as no surprise that he is on our “impact transfers” list. Moore’s speed and elusive handles allow him to excel in transition. Those same skills enable Moore (16 ppg. & 5.6 apg.) to blow past defenders in the half-court. Moore is also a respectable three-point shooter. A 2021-22 First Team All-Philadelphia Catholic League selection, Moore plays with a level of poise that is extremely noticeable during the typically chaotic PCL contests. He is committed to Drexel.

[player_tooltip player_id="1200791" first="Cooper" last="Mueller"] – 6’2” / Junior / Radnor / SJ Hoops Elite-Gray / Comb Guard: This elite athlete is a lock down defender who spent the 2020-21 Covid season playing for Park City HS in Utah. His return to the Radnor program for this season was a welcome happening. In addition to shutting down the opposing team’s number one option, Mueller (9 ppg. & 2 spg.) can get buckets via attacking the rim off the dribble or by knocking down spot up threes. Mueller can use the bounce to get to his nice mid-range game as well. This season Mueller was a starter for Radnor from day one, recorded nine games of 11 or more points and scored a season high 20 points in a win over Upper Darby.

[player_tooltip player_id="1281786" first="Ahmad" last="Nowell"] – 6’0” / Sophomore / Imhotep Charter / NJ Scholars Elite / Combo Guard: In 2020-21 Nowell used his legendary bag of dribble drive moves to help lead Houston High School (TN) to a state title. This season he joined an Imhotep squad that already featured elite prospects like [player_tooltip player_id="991341" first="Justin" last="Edwards"] and [player_tooltip player_id="991339" first="Rahmir" last="Barno"] as well as several other DI commits. Still, Nowell managed to start every game this season and make significant contributions. His much improved three-point shooting, and drive and kick skills were on display all winter. Nowell’s noteworthy performances from the 2021-22 regular season included 24 points (4 threes) vs. West Catholic; 21 points vs. DME Academy; and 20 points (3 threes) as well as 6 rebs vs. Abraham Lincoln.
