Continue ReadingComing into the season many people knew that the top two teams were going to be Bingham and Copper Hills because they have been the class of the region for the past 5 years or more. Bingham is currently running the show but West Jordan and Mountain Ridge and even Riverton have shown some resolve in the way that they are playing even though they haven’t won a region game. Herriman has had some amazing play from their young players.
Region 3 has some teams that will make it difficult to take out in the tournament. Should be a great finish as only a few games remain in Region play.
- Bingham
- Copper Hills
- West Jordan
- Mountain Ridge
- Herriman
- Riverton
Standouts

Kam is the best two way player in the region and he is a high percentage shooter. Great next level prospect.

McCoy is a really good CG that is consistent with his game in all aspects.
6’3 Logan Prince Logan Prince 6'3" | CG West Jordan | 2022 State UT || West Jordan high School || 2022 ||
With a team that plays fast Logan looks like he is just letting the game slow down for him as he has great vision and shooting ability.
6’5 Merrick Sherwood Merrick Sherwood 6'4" | SG Mountain Ridge | 2022 State UT || Mountain Ridge HighSchool || 2022 ||
Merrick is an underrated shooter as he has been lighting it up this season. Nice college prospect with great size.

Young and talented player that has a slower pace but it works for him.

Jaxon is one of those players that is out working hard to get some shots off.
Surprise Prospects

We knew he was good but leading one of the best teams in the state as a sophomore is impressive.
6’6 Luke Moir Luke Moir 6'6" | SF Copper Hills | 2022 State UT || Copper Hills High School || 2022 ||
Luke is an absolute athlete that has some bounce. as an undersized big he holds his own. Great game for the next level.

One of those players who’s motor is always on and is always on high. This kid runs the floor and plays hard and physical.
6’2 Brantyn Van Dyke Brantyn Van Dyke 6'3" | CG Mountain Ridge | 2022 State UT || Mountain Ridge High School || 2022 ||
Mountain Ridge has some dudes and Van Dyke has been surprisingly good.
6’6 Cale Barclay Cale Barclay 6'8" | PF Herriman | 2025 State UT || Herriman High School || 2025 ||
Cale is proving to be a major stock riser in that Class of 2025. Keep an eye on him.

With Riverton scratching and clawing for wins Mackay has been good going to the basket and out in the perimeter.
