Region two took a big turn yesterday as two teams went head to head that were undefeated and now their final meeting could decide a lot in the RPI as well.

Kearns

Taylorsville

Hunter

West

West

Region 2 is top heavy at Cyprus and Kearns are the cream of the crop in this region. [player_tooltip player_id="934030" first="Quentin" last="Meza"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1057025" first="Diego" last="Mulford"] have been solid all year and [player_tooltip player_id="1257172" first="Justus" last="Jackson-Fobbs"] could really make a difference when he is healthy. Cyprus runs some great sets and they also play a great pace.

Kearns has a few guards that have been issues for opponents [player_tooltip player_id="967701" first="Iv’Rson" last="Lavizzo"], Javon Lee and [player_tooltip player_id="967696" first="Amare" last="Ames"]. [player_tooltip player_id="934492" first="Gott" last="Daw"] is a wing player that is athletic and active.

Taylorville has twins that can hoop in [player_tooltip player_id="934520" first="James" last="Gavin"] and [player_tooltip player_id="967690" first="John" last="Gavin"] who could really play. Taylorsville sits in a zone because they have length. If a team is not shooting the ball well they could really take advantage of that.

Hunter is a team that has been up and down but [player_tooltip player_id="967721" first="Darius" last="Henderson"] has been having a solid season. Do not be be surprised if Hunter pulls off an upset because they do have the tools and they have the talent to really get after a team.

Overall

Region 2 is a bit down but the two top teams are good. Kearns has some guys that can go and Cyprus’ slow start hurt them but they are a team that is really good and they have players that can take over.
