Postseason play is in full swing! Here is a rundown of some prospects who could break out over these next few weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id="957111" first="Isaiah" last="Arnold"] | DeMatha (MD) ’23

DeMatha needs guys to step up in the backcourt with the loss of [player_tooltip player_id="1127312" first="Jaeden" last="Mustaf"]. Arnold is battle-tested and is a candidate to deliver. His shot-making ability could make a difference for the Stags in the WCAC Tournament.

Marvin Brimage Jr. | Woodrow Wilson (DC) ’23

Brimage has emerged as a reliable scoring option for the Tigers. His long-range shooting opens up driving lanes for Darren Buchanan Jr. and [player_tooltip player_id="1127310" first="Rob" last="Dockery"]. If Brimage keeps making shots, Wilson will be tough to beat.

Kobe Davis | Wakefield (VA) ’24

Davis is a talented guard who is capable of carrying the offensive load for the Warriors. He dropped 26 in a road win at Marshall earlier this month. If the Warriors hope to make a deep postseason run, Davis will need to bring his A-game.

[player_tooltip player_id="999616" first="DeShawn" last="Harris-Smith"] | Paul VI (VA) ’23

Harris-Smith is becoming a household name locally but is still quite underrated on a national scale. Expect the versatile guard to be assertive throughout the postseason for PVI and make a splash.

DJ Holloway | Hayfield (VA) ’23

Holloway is one of the key players for this Hawks team. Not only is he an incredible defender, but he will put it on your head if you aren’t careful. If Hayfield wins the state title, Holloway will have likely made a significant impact.

[player_tooltip player_id="1107840" first="Reis" last="Jones"] | Flint Hill (VA) ’22

Jones is considered one of the top big men available in our area. He can reinforce that credential by dominating in the upcoming MAC tournament. If Flint Hill hopes to lift the trophy, he will need to be on the court patrolling the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id="904682" first="Kyle" last="Pulliam"] | Good Counsel (MD) ’22

Pulliam enjoyed a productive year for the Falcons. He has improved considerably over the years but remains a hidden gem within the DMV. Pulliam is one or two big postseason games away from a true breakout.

[player_tooltip player_id="1127314" first="Caleb" last="Williams"] | Sidwell Friends (DC) ’24

Williams’ stock has been on the rise since his performance on MLK Weekend. Defense has always been Sidwell’s calling card, but his presence gives the Quakers added firepower on offense. Williams could continue his ascent with a strong run of play in the postseason.
