<p><em>With the NCHSAA state playoffs set to tip off in just a few hours, fans and college coaches around the state are searching for some of the best games to watch. Let’s take a look at some of the matchups that have a chance to very intriguing in the first round. </em></p>
<p><em><strong>Goldsboro HS vs Seaforth HS</strong>:</em> This matchup will feature top ranked Sophomore Forward <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1115508" first="Jarin" last="Stevenson"]</strong> who currently holds several ACC offers while averaging over 20 Points and 10 Rebounds this season. On the opposite site of the ball will be Goldsboro HS Junior Wing <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="949375" first="Ta’Korrie" last="Faison"]</strong>, who has been playing at an outstanding level this season, averaging 26 Points and 15 Rebounds per game. Faison has yet to pick up much recruitment but there is no doubt about it that the 6’6 wing man is well deserving and will use this the opportunity to attempt to not only win but show why he’s deserving of scholarship offers. </p>
<p><em><strong>First Flight vs Jacksonville HS</strong></em>: Both squads have a nice blend of older/younger talent and are well coached squads so execution shouldn’t be an issue. At the Guard spots First Flight will look to <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1220133" first="Mason" last="Dobie"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="854893" first="Isaac" last="Dobie"]</strong> to handle the perimeter duties while Jacksonville will put the ball in the hands of Sophomore Guard <strong>Amare Barber</strong>. The X factor of each team could very well come down to the production of the seniors, with First Flight looking for production from big man <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1342409" first="Cooper" last="Hawk"]</strong> while Jacksonville HS Wing <strong>Shawn Jones</strong> is a double/double threat on a nightly basis. </p>
<p><em><strong>Lumberton HS vs Overhills HS:</strong></em> This matchup has a chance to be a really good one, both of these teams are battled tested, and each have all the pieces to make a nice run in the playoffs. Lumberton has been led this season by Junior Guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1030033" first="JaMerel" last="Brockington"]</strong> who has been making a nice impact on games in numerous ways. He scores, facilitates and rebounds at a nice level, bringing energy and effort on both ends of the floor. Overhills HS will look to Senior Forward <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1062099" first="Damien" last="Robinson"]</strong> for a big-time game if they hope to pull off the upset on the road. He scores and rebounds the ball at a high level, competes with a high motor and has a played in quite a few big-time games. </p>
