This week was full of great games that had lots of great players in them. I saw some exciting prospects and look forward to giving you my evaluations each and every Sunday throughout the season. It is time to recap this week and look at what our exciting prospects did.

Greenwood Christian: vs Indianapolis HomeSchool 2/1

Aden Sloan – 6’0 2022 SG:: Sloan is slimmer shooting guard with some slight athleticism. Thought he was very active here on both ends. Was switching well on the defensive end and cutting well off the ball. Has a real smooth pull-up jumper and sees the floor well.

[player_tooltip player_id="1273138" first="Blake" last="Shewmaker"] – 6’3 2023 SG: Shewmaker is a shooting guard with a lot of length and wide frame. Even though his offense was not there for the majority of the game, thought he was solid defensively and rebounding. Has a slim frame and really needs to work on adding strength. 3PT shot was not hitting so I would have loved to see him be a bit more aggressive hammering it inside.

Bedford North Lawrence: vs Floyd Central 2/2

[player_tooltip player_id="1273007" first="Colton" last="Staggs"] – 6’1 2023 PG: I will continue to say this until he graduates but Staggs is one of the more underrated guards in all Southern Indiana. Just so tough for his size and can make a ton of different plays with the ball in his hands. Made a few big shots here was not afraid to go at the bigger Floyd Central forwards at the basket. He finished with an unofficial 10 pts.

Floyd Central: vs Bedford North Lawrence 2/2

[player_tooltip player_id="1269864" first="Wesley" last="Celichowski"] – 7’0 2022 C: Celichowski is one of the biggest players in the whole state of Indiana at the high school level. He takes up so much room in the post area and can be just a flat-out disrupter on the defensive end. On offense, I did not think he took much advantage of the smaller BNL players that were on him like I wanted to. Pretty skilled as well as he runs the floor well, shows good foot work, and showed off some nice passing ability this game as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="1269991" first="Brady" last="Moore"] – 6’5 2022 SF: Moore is taller wing that plays with a physical style. Thought he was real creative this game as he was finding different ways to score around the rim. His offense was mostly driving from the wing but did show a few sold post moves. Probably more of a combo forward long term. Excellent game from him.

[player_tooltip player_id="958405" first="Cole" last="Harritt"] – 6’4 2022 SF: Harritt is a long and lanky wing that works so well off the ball. He is a high level, natural scorer and showed that with a few confident jumpers from behind the arc. He is continuing to be one of the more sought after players at the small college level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1063978" first="Kyle" last="Poates"] – 6’0 2022 PG: Potates is a taller yet quick lead guard. Attacked well off the dribble here and had a smooth looking pull-up 15fter. Plays with at a controlled pace.

[player_tooltip player_id="868231" first="Caleb" last="Washington"] – 6’5 2023 PF: Washington is a big, skilled PF that looks to have gotten a lot quicker. He is a powerful post player that can stretch the floor and showed that with knocking down three 3PTers here. Showed an ability to guard the perimeter as well. Always been a fan of his play and think schools at all levels should be interested in this guy. He finished with a team high 12 pts.
