<p>Across the lovely state of Idaho, lots of high-level basketball talent has been on display for all to see this season. Many teams from all over the state have proven themselves to be great examples of what it takes to put together a winning season and the potential for a run at the state tournament in March/ Along with this, a lot of the top teams also feature some really great individuals who have also been able to prove themselves throughout the year with some gutsy performances. Whether these players are currently on your radar or not, they have put together some excellent games and have the talent to backup their abilities. Continue reading for a look at some of the best performances recently from across the beautiful state of Idaho.</p>
<p><strong>Priest River vs. Kellogg:</strong> Up north, Kellogg was able to snag a much-needed victory over Priest River to cement their case as a top contender in their classification. Kellogg came out strong against Priest River and did a great job of limiting their open looks while also forcing a lot of turnovers at the same time. This mix of defensive pressure, as well as a hot shooting night from a number of Kellogg players, led to a great team win that also gave them a lot of momentum heading into the conference and district tournaments.</p>
<p>Kellogg was led by a 21 point performance from [player_tooltip player_id="1170713" first="Kolby" last="Luna"] who was able to showcase his ability to get to the rim, finish through contact, and knock down the open jumper from three-point range. Kolby did a great job all night of making sure that he was keeping Kellogg in the game offensively and also had a strong motor. Kellogg also got help from [player_tooltip player_id="969722" first="Riply" last="Luna"] who poured in 10 points and provided a much-needed offensive spark throughout the game. [player_tooltip player_id="1171624" first="Reed" last="Whatcott"] was also able to score 10 points and Tanner Groves chipped in 15 points to help balance out Kellogg’s scoring as a team.</p>
<p>For Priest River, [player_tooltip player_id="921089" first="Trentyn" last="Kreager"] did his best to keep his team in the game, however, a tough shooting night did not help and Kellogg did a great job defensively all night. Kreager finished with 24 points and did score well at times. Travis Mathews added 9 points and did a great job of running the offense and facilitating while [player_tooltip player_id="1170718" first="Luke" last="Butler"] finished with 7 points.</p>
